On the Sephora website they have dry shampoo. You sprinkle it on your roots and brush through. Use it between shampoos for oily roots, too much product in your hair etc. My hair is not really oily at all, maybe a bit more in the summer at the roots. I was wondering if anyone has tried this type of shampoo? Rants/raves/recommendations? Any other brands you recommend? Here are the ones they advertise on Sephora

I see that one of the main ingredients in both products you posted is cornstarch as well as rice starch.

I haven't used a commerical dry shampoo, but an old home remedy for oily roots is to sprinkle a bit of cornstarch on your roots and brush/comb thru.

The cornstarch trick works, but unless you have very light colored blonde hair, you can see the cornstarch even after repeatedly brushing/combing. It leaves a very fine white powder residue on your hair. My hair is a medium blonde, and I could still see the white powder residue. It's also drying to you hair and will make your hair "flyaway".

If you give one of the commercial dry shampoos a try, my suggestion is to purhase the smallest bottle possible just in case it doesn't work out.

I've never used one, but I've tried the cornstarch/powder trick, and it definitely leaves some residue... but if you do give it a try, be sure to tell us your results!

i've never tried it but i want to especially during days when the air just stinks and makes my hair stink too!

hey,

ive never tried that brand, but i have the bumble and bumble one and its amazing! It is an aerosol hair powder, it dries up all oil and gives you tons of volume. It doesnt really do much for smell though.....

The cool thing is it comes in different colours so if you have coloured blond hair it helps blend in your roots. My hair is dark brown and i use the black one on my roots every couple of days in between shampoos it still feels abit dirty but doesnt look/feel greasy or limp at all.....
