Hi Hi! another lame thread from me, I know!
laughing.gif

But I was wondering if anybody was into the whole Dry Shampoo craze? you know like Oscar Blandi from Sephora, or the PSSSST! dry hair shampoo from the drugstore? has anyone tried the Oscar Blandi? I'm dying to try it, but it's so pricey!! I have the Pssst! and it works well, but I wanna try something else. I've also heard that baby powder works well, and bumble & bumble has a one as well, but it's like $40!! and they have different ones to match your hair color!

ALSO!! Does anyone know of a cheap alternative to the Matrix Color Smart Shampoo? It's in the purple bottle. I LOVE it to death because it keeps my purple hair color last longer and fresh, but it's so expensive!!! aahhh!! burning holes through my pocket!!

woohoo! two posts in one!!

I hope some of you guys & dolls know what i'm talking about, and can hopefully can give me some good alternatives!! THANKS!!

Sally Beauty has a couple of dry shampoos that are pretty good sellers. I personally have never used a dry shampoo, so I can't give you any personal recs.

As for shampoos, currently I use Loreal Color Vive and it didn't hasten the lightening of my pink or blue. My all time favorite though is "Stay Red" that can also be found at Sally Beauty. It's uberly gently, and no matter what color your hair is, you get maximum hang time.

Awesome!!! I might try the color vive or the Stay Red, I'm really interested in that one! How much is it, btw?

My favorite dry shampoo is Batiste its in a green spray can sold at Sally beauty and its only $7.99 a can.....For shampoo and conditioner I use pureology so that wont help with a cheaper alternative...

Isn't dry shampoo the kind you rub into your scalp? Like if you choose not to wash your hair it's an alternative?

Has anyone here actually tried it? I'm curious to test one out just for the heck of it.

Here's a link to a thread I had started a bit ago. I'm all about dry shampoos!!!

A couple of people had recommended the Oscar Blandi one. I searched about it on the web, and most people suggested the powder form because the spray one tended to clog up. I bought the travel size ($10) and I've had it for several months. I use it like every other day and I've hardly put a dent in it. I HIGHLY recommend it!!!!!

HTH!

i have never tried a dry shampoo, i like to wash my hair everyday so i probably wouldn't have much use to it.

my mom likes Pantene for colored hair.

i also have the oscar blandi dry shampoo. its great for days you dont want to wash your hair or cant. The only thing is if your a brunette like me, you have to blend really well other wise itll look like your going grey lol

Thank you for that link, I did a search and it gave me crap.

As for the prices of the shampoos, I would say I pay between 3 & 6 bucks. I can't remember right off the top of my head, sorry.

I recommend dry shampoo if you don't want to wash your hair everyday or if you're tired of straightening everyday. My recommendation is Ojon's Rub-Out Dry Cleanser. It's in a spray can, smells like powder, and gives you TONS of volume. I've also heard that you can just use baby powder, but I don't think that would work well with black hair.

i use the oscar blandi dry shampoo and totally love it.

i have naturally greasy hair that is also fine (reasons i have to use a clarifying shampoo daily), this acutally lets me forgo washing my hair every day (its also curly which bad to do anyways).

if you want to just try it out, get the travel sized one for $9 (which is what i did and am still using). it lasts forever and smells lemony.

ok...i tried the Psssst but i wasnt too keen on the powdery hair. They make one for hair that has color in it. Its by Salon Graphix. You can pick it up at Rite Aid or Eckerd. You might have to search a couple of stores before you find it. My stylist reccomended it to me and its awsome!!! No powdery looking hair like you get with Pssst

Go to drugstore.com and look it up. HTH
