My husband has grew his dreds for over a year now and I used to not like them until I saw how convient they were, which is right up my alley. My hair is short now and I really get frustrated with trying to curl it every morning and I don't have the money to blow on hairstylists so my thing was to grow dreds. Know some good advice about em'? I do my husband's hair all the time and he now knows how to do them too. *chee* ;-)

Dreadlocks are all about maintenence. You go to long without taking care of them , they get all nasty

a friend of mine did her own and didnt maintain them and it was just this matted ball of frizz her hair became.

although i love love love the look of dreads.

Yeah I agree. With my husband's hair I just continue to wash it every two weeks and re-dred them like every other week. His hair is really soft and tends to "loosen" the locks, but I think I'm going to try it. Doesn't seem hard to do since I do his hair...

i don't have dreads, but i'm all for anything that doesn't require and blow dryer, curling iron or sleeping in rollers at night! i say go for it!

Wow.. very few people over here have dreads.. won't the hair get super dirty being washed only once every other week?
