Did I screw up???

Dyed my hair three days ago, so I went out and bought tresseme color fade whatever shampoo. I dyed my hair red, and didnt realize till afterwards that the shampoo I bought was for Blonde hair. I already used it, is this going to make a difference? Is it going to ruin the staying power of my hair color?

i doubt it will effect the staying power of your hair, but red is gonna fade pretty quick anyway.. you could try not washing it everday to help the color to not fade as fast..

I think you should be okay. You can always go back and buy the redhead version.

I messed up my hair hardcore last night, if this makes you feel any better lol... I got it into my head that it would be cute to dye my bangs a different color. Lots of goth girls do it and look cute as a button. Well, *I* looked like a total idiot. I dyed it back to black. Now my bangs are totally fried and I feel like a dork.

Sorry to hear about you hair gothchiq. I've done crazy things like that as well.

It's kind of a rite of passage when you start playing with dyes.

Saja, I don't think it matters if you use the blond vs red shampoo for coloured hair. I keep hearing that washing hair too frequently is the worse thing you can do to dye'd hair.

I had a few samples of the Tresseme shampoo that you have. I found that my scalp got itchy and irritated. I hope it will work better for you.

I dont think it matter, all that color care specific shampoo is nothing more than a marketing scheme IMO. My hair was brown and i used the blonde one and saw no difference.
