Lately my hair has been really hard to manage. The first day I wash it's looks ok, but the next, it's SO oily and dry at the same time. It feels hard at the touch but also looks stringy and gross, which leaves me no choice but to wash it every day. The problem is, shampooing it so frequently made my hair dry and brittle so I had to cut it down to every two days, with conditioning in between. My hair dresser thinks it's because I'm using a shampoo (Biolage Smoothing shampoo and conditioner) that's too much for my scalp. She recommmend for me a normalizing shampoo, but I'm, afraid it will dry my hair out since it's best suited for oily and normal hair types. Could this be the problem? Or am I just not rinsing my hair well enough? I have super thick hair and a whole lot of it, so rinsing it all out is a major pain.

The biologe normalizing shampoo brings the oil from your scalp and distributes it to the ends...you might benefit more from the normalizing shampoo then the smoothing. I'd stick with smoothing conditioner though.
