Coloring Blonde Hair Dark

I have bleached blonde hair, its fairly light colored, and I used Sun-In on it a few months ago.

I now want to go dark....or closer to my natural brown hair.

Can I do this at home with a box dye? (I'm tight on $$ atm)

Or will it fade, wash out and turn colors? I think I read somewhere I might need a red filler first.

I bleached my hair once a few years ago, then colored it dark again at home, with no problems that I can remember......but my hair is much more damaged now.

Any help you MUT'ers have would be greatly appreciated.

you can do it at home...

you just need a color filler, i found the easier way to do this was to first do a red baed inbetween color (that will pretty much wash out a lot and look strawberry blonde) than do the color you want.

your hair will definately fade but that will happen if you get it done proffesionally.

to keep it dark till your roots grow out, you should every month to two months do a demi perminent dye to refresh the color.
