I use rosebud lipbalm in a jar. I use it all the time and my lips are never chapped .. plus it smells great, feels great and adds a tint of color to my lips.. I love it!!

might have to try that

aha

For me, the only thing that actually "fixed" my dry flaky lips was Paula's choice Lip and Body balm. This is my absolute fave. and you could definitely notice a difference in your lips after only one night. This is also great for moisturizing cuticles!!!! About the Burts Bees, my mom has a bunch of them around the house, but they do not actually help my lips become smooth again, etc. Same with the Rosebud Salve, even though I absolutely love this stuff for everything else, it doesn't help for my dry yucky lips. The Neosporin LT (lip treatment) might also help you, it's good stuff, and actually the new Aveeno Intense Relief Medicated Therapy lip balms are really good. I bought the Aveeno for my boyfriend b/c he's a lifeguard and has extreeeeemely dry lips (b/c of the weather conditions)that are going to fall off, and he really liked this stuff. Ok bye.

Oh and if you want a lip exfoliator I really like the one from BBW by C.O Bigelow. It wasn't crazy expensive either, I think about $8.

i swear by rosebud salve. i have the worst lips when they're bare because i have a horrible habit biting them until they bleed and they're just easily chapped and even when i don't exfoliate, i put this on and it's like they're a brand new set of lips

i LOVE it.

same here, nothing fancy..

i tried applyin a dab of honey after exfoliating once, and it was awesome!

you really should try it

and you really do have to drink more water i guess

I apply vaseline. Its cheap & the most moisturising thing for dry lips.

I have tried Burt's Bees. I find that its not moisturising enough & it breaks me out around my mouth! I think its the beewax that's in it.

i bought this and absolutely love it. it's still the most ridiculous expense. with all the money i've put down for makeup and skincare in my life, i still felt guilty for spending so much on a lip balm.
but this one is really great. it's moisturizing (like the sinking in kind of moisture), a little shiny but not slippery like kiehl's, and smells sooooooooooooo good. it also lasts a while, unlike kiehls.

i buy multiple burt's bees to make sure that each bag and coat is covered during the winter. it's definitely my second favorite, but at times it feels too waxy and i don't feel like the moisture is actually getting to my lips.

I have the same problem and so far Blistex Daily Conditioner is the only thing which helps me.

my friend has some kind of MAC lip conditioning treatment .. and it works really good. it makes them really soft.

Well I only have one tried and true method.:icon_love

1. Gently exfoliate lips with a new toothbrush. (I've found that that childrens/begginers brushes work best)

2. Rub Vasleine on your lips and leave it over night.

3. In the morning I just put my favorite lip balm on. (I use Burt's Bee's, but like another girl said, some people can have a reaction to it.)

I hope it works!

My Lips get chapped easily because I am constantly reapplying gloss and lipstick. I like Benefit Sm..oooch! It gently exfoliates the dryness but leaves the lips super soft, not greasy. No scent or taste too. Gentle enough for children too.

If anyone has any suggestions of something else I can do or try that would be great!!

Thanks!

Hi Mona,When my lips get chapped, I scrub them with a wet warm washcloth, dry them, apply a semi-heavy coat of lip balm, like blistex (in the beige jar) and put a piece of saran wrap on my lips. Then, I soak a cotton pad in hot water, squeeze out the water and put it on top of the saran wrap on my lips. Baby soft!

Welcome to MUT Milah! I am Marisol from San Francisco and I look forward to getting to know you.

My husband & I have the same problem. I exfoliate with a washcloth, too, as previously mentioned. We also find it helpful to keep different lip balms/treatments on hand at all times, and switch it up, each use, reapplying several times a day. Currently, our faves, are Rosebud Perfume Co. Rosebud Salve and C.O. Bigelow's Mentha Lip Shine / Breath Freshener. Both are great. We also have several other cheaper lip balms/treatments from Bath & Body Works and Super Target. I'm planning on adding DuWop Buttercream Lip Balm, Fresh Sugar Lip Balm, LA MER The Lip Balm, Kiehl's Lip Balm #1, + many, many more ASAP. Hopefully, my husband won't notice, even though we BOTH have a lip balm fetish.
