I was talked into buying this spray at my salon. They said it would be great for heat protection when styling my hair.

I don't know if I'm using it incorrectly, but I HATE how my hair feels and looks when I use it. Makes my hair sticky and crispy. I'm about to throw the dang bottle out!

Any advice?

can you return it?

did they use it on you in the salon with good results?

if not then sadly they might have just wanted to make a sale. maybe you can sell it on ebay or swap it away here on MUT.

Sorry hun, I've never used it... what are the main ingredients?? (they will be listed first - on the ingredient list) Being it's a "styling lotion" it seems it might have alcohol or hairspray/gel like contents... which aren't really what you want when you're just looking for a good protectant. If you want to try something else, try one by HealthySexyHair... it's called "Soya want flat hair"... it's soy based. I use the Shampoo, Conditioner & Straightening tonic from that line, and my hair is pin straight and shiny as hell... just with the blowdryer alone. I haven't used the flat iron protectant personally, but my friend does, and her hair looks great with it. (Although I'm trying to steer her away from ironing altogether! lol) :icon_chee HTH!

I don't think I can return it. I've used about an 8th of it. They did use some on me and my hair felt fine at the salon... but I may just be a putz and not be using it correctly. :icon_roll

Was it all they used?? Did they use something eles before or after it? :icon_wink

They used that while my hair was damp before blowing it out. Then she used a tiny bit of B&B Brilliantine cream on the ends. That was it.

/shrug

oh well.

I bought some Joico "Integrity" leave-in conditioner and I really like it so far with the blowdryer, but haven't tried it with the iron yet.

It should also be ok with the iron... I think the cream helped out a bit at the salon to make it shiny and smooth... I'm not familiar with the product, but seems that spray isn't something you want to use for ironing protection and straight styles... more like rollers or curling irons. :icon_wink

You mentioned they tried it on your hair... So how did it look?

I want to get it and haven't seen much reviews or tutorials on it :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
