Bored with my black hair...

I'm 15 and my hair is virgin to coloring (but it has been treated with Matrix Opti.Smooth). I'm Asian, so it's typical almost-black...and I'm bored with it.

But...I do NOT want to do anything permanent, preferably something I can do at home by myself.

Here are some pix to better show its color

Under *normal* lighting it looks black

However, it has some reddish/brown undertones...as you can see under strong light/flash:



(I don't wear my bangs like that anymore...they're grown out more)

I want to enhance those brown tones so that they show in NORMAL light, not just under strong lights...to something more like this:

What are my options? i.e. a chocolate brown tint that is NOT permanent.

Since you do not want to go permanent you could try out a semi-permanent hair color. Natural Instincts come in a shade called Rosewood (Dark Auburn Brown) and that might have the effect that you are looking for.
