Would old fashioned bonnet hairdryers be less damaging to the hair than a blow dryer. This air drying I have been doing is just not getting good results

Heat is heat no matter how it's being applied to the hair. If you're going to do that, then I would roll the hair with velcro rollers first so then you're not further using a heating tool by using the curling iron afterwards.

I've never heard of Bonnet dryers...the dryer I'm considering getting is called Pro-Tourmaline, which is about the best you can get. It's high tech, it supposedly has the fastest drying time and the least damaging to hair..it's about $200.00...check it out on Sephora...(I'm bad with links..sorry!)

I hear turomanile t3 and babybliss get mentioned a lot. Personally I love revoln ceramic blow dryer really really less damazing.
