Do you prefer to make your own body scrub or buy one?

I make my own. It's cheaper and you can make it to the texture that you like.

I like body scrubs. I have one the pomegranate one from Origins which smells delish. The only thing is that because of its color, it can stain your tub.

How do you make your own scrub?

My basic recipe is just liquid handsoap or body wash with salt and sugar mixed in. Sometimes I add some milk powder (although this really stinks

) or normal milk, or some almond, lemon or vanilla essence. You could also add some oils (like normal olive oil), essential oils or carrier oils to it if you want.

If you do a search in this Forum, Leony posted heaps of recipes to make your own body scrubs.

I put mine in a little glass bowl so that it's for the one use only.

the body scrub I use is the old fashioned Moroccan style : a rough scrubbing mitt and black soap. I don't even have to use a moisturiser after that, my skin is so smooth.

i have no body scrubs right now, so i make it with sugar and honey, one time i put water and my sugar dissolve what a waste :[ when im lazy i just use a poof. but i do love body scrubs espeacially nice scented ones :]

i love body scrub...i do it every other day...but when i'm not in the mood i just do it once a week. i love homemade body scrub coz it'a lot cheaper, but sometimes i want to indulge and buy really good ones. I love Body shop body scrub, they have a variety to choose from. I also love BBW. Right now i'm using Body shop grapeseed body scrub and really like it. Also try their olive oil body scrub, it really makes my skin feel so soft and smooth.

I bought a bar a long time ago after my aunt's friend raved about it (and she has beautiful skin), but I ended up breaking out on my back and chest. Also, it always felt like it didn't completely wash off. Man, I wish it had worked better for me. It smells amazing.

Yay! A way to make one of my fave bath & body products even cheaper! I've been using Avon, although my DH gets me B&BW for special occasions. Yippee!!! Thanks!

It's a soft soap with a butter texture:

I also use it as a cleanser

. I have oily skin and it doesnt break out.

If you wanna try a bar for your shower, try the Alep soap. I love it, it works wonders for dry skins also.
