For straightening hair?

Does anyone know if Redken Smooth Down Heat Glide is any good?

Any others?

I haven't used that one. I have used Redken's Anti Snap, but I wasn't very happy with it.

Good luck!

I have the CHI Iron Guard. It makes my hair really nice and smooth and smells pretty. Only thing is my hair comes out super flat and I hate that

I use matrix sleek look thermal smoother. It's a heat protectant/ thermal smoothing spray. This stuff is a godsend for me. It makes a huge difference in my hair. Straightening w/o it makes my hair somewhat dry, brittle, and dull looking with some frizz. Using it makes my hair sleek, shiny, and healthy looking, and leaves it really really soft. There's a cheaper generic version of it at Sally's called "Slickline" I haven't tried it, but I've tried the conditioner and it works exactly like the Matrix.

I decided to go ahead and buy the Redken Smooth Down Heat Glide. I noticed a difference in my hair today. I didn't straighten my hair fully, just a little so I could tie it back in a ponytail. My hair felt really soft. If you use the right amount of stuff and not too much, i think you ladies would like it. It felt like straightening was a lot easier to do once I used this in my hair, and it smells really nice too

I like Frekkai glossing cream. It's not a heat protectant but it's moisturizing and helps to shine my hair. It is a little pricey but you only use a tiny amount each time.

Sally beauty supply also makes a really cheap protectant that works well. You just can't put too much or it make your hair greasy.

i used to use redken heat glide its ok.. I now use Its a snap its in a blue bottle with pink writing most pro. salons carry it. i love it

I've tried Matrix Gold Heat and it makes my hair flat even though the bottle says "iron-in volume". It was a dissappointing purchase.

You should ask whether your salon guarantees its products, because if it doesn't work you can take it back and exchange it for something you may like a little better
