This is my first month with Beauty Army, and I'm happy with my picks.

  I ended up getting..

second month of beauty army and i got some pretty good samples to try this month. My selection window is always near the end of the month. I am super excited for the eyecandy coolers and the she terra. Sadly, I couldn't get the coolers, the she terra and the b&b works shower gel in the same sample window.

My selection for August, am happy with it.  Now I have to forget about it... so I can be 'surprised' whenever it arrives!

I have yet to get a shipping confirmation, and it's only my second box but my first box seemed to ship right away so I emailed them and they told me my box shipped  2 days ago so I should get a confirmation any day now. Is shipment based on your selection window dates, or do they wait and send them all once or twice a month? My selection window started the 11th, so I imagine people with earlier dates should have their boxes by now?

I have two Beauty Army subs and I've been skipping a lot lately.  I forgot about the one on the 1st that I've had since they opened January 1st - eek, they're sending me samples they pick out! I'm one of the ones that already has quite a bit of what they have on offer so not sure what it'll be but it's interesting to have a true grab bag - no idea of what I'm getting!  I was all set to skip this one on the 17th but it gave me some pretty good stuff (for me) on the very first page and I was afraid to mess it up by playing with it and never getting those selections back so I picked right away.  I don't even know what my profile was because it was whatever I chose last time.  I got -

Freeman Beauty Vita-K for Age Spots - wanted this.  I like things with vitamin c in them and it's full size, bonus!  I think it retails for about $14 so worth the box fee right there.

Freeman Beauty Vita-K for Spider Veins - full size, same $14ish and great for me to give to Gram as we're opening up all of my mail at her house. I traded for a few other things that are her faves so I'll have quite a bit to share with her this round, specifically for her.  It's no fun to get all the mail and not have anything for yourself. ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />  Gramps even gets some shampoo stuff, ha ha.

Bath & Body Works Japanese Cherry Shower Gel

Bath & Body Works Paris Amour Shower Gel

Bath & Body Works Sweet Pea Shower Gel - I don't usually go to B&BW so this is a bonus for me!  If they're on sale for 3 for $10 this also makes the box a good one for me - dealwise.

NuMe HydroPunch Shampoo - Wanted this too.  I am picking up the HydroPunch Conditioner in my Glam Bags and now can use the shampoo and conditioner together for a real test.

I think it's a value of around $40 if the shower gels are at the sale price, a little more if they're not.  I'm happy with it. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />  I use these subs to get stuff that I can use more liberally than my more expensive products - I'll use the Vita-K for age spots on the back of my hands as well as my face and decollete.  It was so weird to just be happy with the first selections shown to me.  I had to come investigate this thread to see what I was missing out on, if anything.  I'm hoping for the Besame Rouge and Shea Terra Shea Butter in my 'mystery box' but not holding my breath.  I was really happy this time around that there were few foil samples or those strange cardboard sample containers and everything was a pretty good size.  It's nice to be surprised in a good way.  Thanks for posting what you guys got, love to see the selections.  I'm still also hoping for one of those little scrapers and the cool mask kit from Grand Central Beauty.

I just canceled.

My sample selection blew, even though I logged on as close to 9 Pacific as possible.  Four of nine items were Bath & Body Works shower gel.  I know I don't like their formula -- it's strips the bejesus out of my skin.  So, essentially, I had to take a B&BW item or only get five samples this month -- and I really wasn't excited about the other five options either.  Gaming the system on this sub is WAY too much work.

I really wish they would get some new samples. Obviously people don't want the samples that keep popping up. If I didn't want it last month, then I don't want it this month. They really need to have a better selection. I had to skip this month. B&BW is so bad for your skin. It has parabens and all sorts of nasty things. Plus, it's pretty easily accessible to lots people and who wants FOUR of them in their sample box?? That's not really letting you try out new things..

I completely agree on both points.  BBW is 95% synthetic from the moistureizer base (mineral oil or other petroleum derived oils - who wants to put 4 million year-old fossilized oild on their body) to the scent oils.

I buy the foaming pumps because I love the convenience of it and then got a few tubes of the anti-bacterial lotions as well but the scent of the lotions in an enclosed area brings on a head-ache and itchy eyes.  I"ll be refilling the pumps with EO soap and returning the lotions.

Oh yeah.... to the point, BBW products are supermarket quality and some supermarket products contain a better ingredient's list.  It's also a very economical mass market brand and I hope that BA will source more botique and stay away from the BBWs.

I finally got my August box yesterday. I picked on the 5th. The Shea Terra, in my opinion, is amazing. It's a nice, thick, textured paste-like cream. The smell was kind of meh, but I'm not huge on chocolate anyway. I also picked the Indie Lee scrub this month. The heat must have melted the glue on the seal of the tub because the paper seal was floating in the tub and the oils leaked out all over the box. I was left with a solid salt block. It made me pretty sad because it smelled amazing and I really wanted to use it. And the sample size was HUGE. I must say, this month for me anyway, my samples from Beauty Army were far superior to my BB. The sample sizes didn't even compare and the monetary value was 10 fold.

My all time favorite from BBW is their little hand sanitizers. They make great gifts when you are not from US. I bring like 20 travel size hand sanitizers back to Asia and everyone goes crazy for them.

I received my shipping confirmation a few days ago.  I'm kinda bummed that my delivery date isn't until the first week of September though.

I still use the hand soaps because I don't feel like paying $14 for a bottle of natural Jason soap... The lotions always dry me out even more. I've really been trying to use natural lotions and the difference is ridiculous. My skin actually feels so much better and I don't feel like I'm putting gunk all over me.

Got my August Beauty Army .... Couldnt get the Shea Terra to come up for the life of me!

Looks like you received some nice items, though.  I skipped this month because I was only offered the BBW body washes and packets, even when I tried close to 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time.  Luck of the draw, I guess.

i selected my samples on the 16th and i received an email on the 21st that said my kit was shipped and the link to track it. so that first day when i clicked the link it would tell me the tracking information was incorrect. but then for the next couple of days there was tracking info up until yesterday. the last thing it said was "departed from Sparks, NV" and then when i clicked the link today it says

The tracking information is incorrect or the tracking data is not yet available. Verify the tracking information or try again at a later time.

im so confused! does this mean im getting my kit tomorrow or is my kit gone? has this ever happened to anyone? help!

I just checked and mine says the same thing! I'm going to email them now.

Mine also said the same thing earlier regarding the tracking information.  I believe their website may have been experiencing problems?
