I happened to have a drs appt the day after I used them so I asked the dr and he said it most likely was the self tanner otherwise I would've had hives in other areas. While that is no fault of BB, I have been lukewarm about the boxes since the first one in May. I signed up and bought my mom a 3 month gift sub for mothers day. We were both excited about getting the Gossip Girl box. I got one but my mom got the welcome box. I have read since that they send out the welcome box for your first box, I was bummed that my mom didn't get the GG box like I did. And the welcome box wasn't that great. I think if they would've sent that one to me I would've canceled immediately. Since my moms was a gift there isn't a way to cancel so maybe that is why BB does that because at least they have been paid for the gift sub months up front. And they dont have people canceling after the first month like they would on a reg. sub if a person didnt think it was worth the $$.

I signed up for a second box after my first box to see how different the boxes would be using a completely different profile. The boxes arent that much different. Last month I got eyeco liners in both which have been the only two things other than the earbuds that have been stand outs. Plus I got two different colors. Other than that the products have been so so. Mostly stuff like foil packets, I can get free if I asked for them at Sephora or Ulta.

I really want to love BB. But I guess after the self tanner reaction (which isn't BB fault) I am not caring for the boxes. I got my first Glam Bag last month and excepted to not like it after reading poor reviews but I guess I signed up at the right time because I really loved it.

So is Beauty Army any better?

I actually got BBs #6 box as well and was underwhelmed with everything except the razor. For me the huge difference is that I get to choose my samples.  I really think it is up to each person to decide if it is worth it or not since we all have such difference tastes. If you create an account and then go looking each day at your samples but don't choose them, your monthly membership won't start until you accept your first set of samples. My best advice would be to play around with your profile since it changes your samples until you find something you like. If not then don't sub. It doesn't cost anything to look at the options and since you can skip months or cancel at any time you are in control of what you get.

I signed up for Beauty Army before I got a Birchbox subscription. When I was starting out with the subs, I thought that being able to choose your samples was so much more worthwhile than the randomness of the Birchbox lottery, so BA appealed to me a lot more. But I've definitely been underwhelmed with Beauty Army. Like a lot of other ladies in this thread have pointed out, the sample selection hasn't changed much; some of them have been subbed since February and are still seeing the same products!

My #1 gripe is that they're consistently lacking in make-up options. I don't want or need more skincare, I'm doing these subs to try out new make-up. But I know not everyone feels this way about it so I guess at that point it comes down to personal preference.

And the other thing about BA is that the one time I chose the box previously, there was just something about the whole process... both I guess because I knew what was in it (which honestly was a pretty lackluster selection at that point), and then the long time it took to ship and finally arrive in my mailbox, that I wasn't even excited about it anymore when it finally did get here. I'd rather play the Birchbox lottery with a greater risk/reward than to pay $12 for a box that is just okay.

I got my box a few days ago from July with the Macadamia Oil in it and it had spilled all over everything, it was a huge mess. So disappointed...hoping at least the products are more exciting for August, since I wasn't thrilled with the selection in July, my window opens on the 24th. :-S

Got my box today! I think I submitted my selection on the 3rd, so total turnaround time was 11 days, but only 7 business days, so that's not too bad.

The tiny SheaTerra jar is smaller than I imagined, but it's super cute and it smells DELICIOUS! I'm now having the most intense craving for dark chocolate. Luckily I need to do a post office run anyway, and my favorite little bakery-café across the street from there sells the best chocolate croissants in the entire world...

I ordered mine on the 5th and the delivery date is the 23rd. This has happens to me every month. It takes about 3 weeks to get mine. I wish they'd find some other sort of shipping solution. When I had Conscious Box it only took 3 days to get here...

This is what I ended up with. This was only my second box so I didn't realize that my options could change each day so I picked my selection the very first day. I tried playing around with my profile, but this was all that came up that I somewhat liked. I never once saw a B&BW (which is fine with me) or the chocolate scrub or makeup spatula. I'm kind of excited for the skin perfecting mask and I'm one of the few who loooooves perfume samples.

I absolutely loved the products I got in my first box (Besame, Macademia Oil, Pink Sugar, Pssst Dry Shampoo, Youngblood primer, and some pumice wash) and felt like there was a very wide selection to pick from, but this month my selections were flooded with boring face moisturizers. Question: Once you order a product, will it stop showing up in your selection window for the following months?

What did you imput, I was trying my profile yesterday and I kept having at LEAST 1, to 3 BBW shower gels. I really want the GCB mask set but I cant seem to get it to pop up. I usually choose on the second or third day as more stuff seems to pop up....

Well I was there at 9 am on the 2nd day ready to PLAY /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I put ( maybe not in order sorry) : fair , moderate ( everyday look) brow smoky , black smokey , damaged/dry hair , french nails , 25-30 yo , and i ask for tools , moisturizer , and exfoliant   /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I honestly don't remember. I just kept switching up my profile by clicking random selections. I don't remember what I ended up with. I just think it's weird I didn't see a SINGLE Bath and Body Works product.

This is so true.  All I could get were all 4 BBW shower gels and some tiny packets.  I signed in at noon EST,  completely different line up of great choices (including the India Lee and SheaTerra)!  I didn't even have to switch around my profile,  just selected right away for fear they'd disappear!

On a side note, when I chose my samples, it had me update my billing info and said starting next month they are updating their billing system to only charge after your samples are chosen!!!! YAAAAY I know this was annoying a LOT of people, and honestly being able to skip is one of their best features.
