At the end of summer after i let my hair grow out i want to get bangs like hilary duff's in this picture. How should i tell the hair dresser to cut them like that. and are those considered side swept bangs

getting these bangs is pretty easy, mine look like that and i cut them myself, maybe take a picture of Hillary to show to the hairdresser?

man, no matter what I do, my 'bangs' (us aussies call those your 'fringe' LOL) NEVER look like that. Instead they look scraggly and greasy and usually end up flopped over my face.

Ugh annoys me so much! I've given up on them! I love how they look but they obviously are very much against my hair's natural inclinations, lol

Definately take the picture with you.....otherwise you might get something you didnt want. Bangs are definately in......the are actually starting to really come back in. Especially the straight across like high fashion bangs!!

Those are definitely side swept bangs, girl2006! Side-swept bangs and the side part are really hot right now, have been for the last few years. Definitely take a pic with you.

I have straight across bangs, have had them for about 5 years but only recently really started mastering the straight across bang look...the trick (for me) is to flat iron and spray them immediately. I keep them eyebrow length. They are fun! And bobby pins are your friend if you get sick of them

Yeh.. and be specific with length. Nothing above the eyebrow for that look.

I got mines done over a month ago and the freakin lady messed it up and chopped my bangs shorter and it looks moded. Ugh. Hate it.

Bangs are most def. cute whether in trends or not.

My bangs are sort of like that but they never really look like that picture... they're always getting frizzy and twisted from humidity or something.
