Seeing as I am from Australia, we don't really use the word 'bangs' when talking about hair.

What are bangs exactly? I get the impression they are some kind of fringe or a side fringe? Is that correct?

bangs are the front of your hair that covers your forehead ,some are straight and some are cut on a angle i hope that helps you thats the only way i can explain it

Aww, yeah bangs are like the hair that some people wear straight and even above their eyes, although the sideswept bangs are very popular now. What word do you use to describe bangs? Fringe?

If you look at my pic here, I have bangs covering my forehead. I tend to go back and forth whether I have them or not, but people tell me I look better with them.

I like your bangs kaville. I have bangs as well and I am trying to grow the sides out so they are not so wide and blunt looking. I'll keep your picture in mind.

Thanks! Guess I'll have to keep them then.

I like the word fringe a lot more... Bangs has always seemed like a funky word IMHO to use regarding hair LOL!
