So I like to wear my bangs to the side but its very frusterating when they keep falling infront of my eyes!! GRRRR

I dont like to spray them with hairspray it makes them to hard and crunchy. I want to find something specifically for my bangs to hold them in place.

What do you guys use? I will usually blowdry my bangs to the side so I can always put something in my hair before I blowdry,,, or is it better to apply something afterwards? What about some type of 'hair glue' product?

Help

I usually put a little bit of a styling liquid in them before I blowdry (just a veery little bit). I use Axis Basix Lik'Wid Sculpting Lotion. But I believe that Axis might only be sold in Vancouver... sooooo... I will describe the product to you and perhaps you can try going to a salon near you and asking them for something that does what this does! (or just asking them what you asked us!)

"lik'wid shapes and controls without leaving hair sticky or crunchy... excellent for boosting and defining curls. work through damp hair, style as desired."

Ask for something like that! Or perhaps invest in a flexible hold hairspray? I have two kinds - firm hold and flexible hold, and if I just want my bangs to have a wee bit more hold, or I was a dummy and forgot to put in styling lotion XD I give a quick spritz of the flexible hold and it's not all crunchy!

Hello Greeneyedangel,

Mousse is pretty good as it is lightweight, it's applied when hair is still wet (but not sopping).

I agree, Mousse or gel applied while your hair is still wet and use a large round brush while blow drying. I’ve tried a couple of times and it seemed to work for me.

My recipe: A little mousse on damp bangs, a large round brush, then blowdry.

hair wax, but with my fine hair it doesn't work good. in the past i was using elnett, with tiny barrettes and when growing out my bangs, different kinds of headbands.

i'll have to try the mousse thing. what i have been doing is just lightly spraying hairspray on them. wax & gel seems like it would make your hair look greasy.

Yea I'll also be keepin an eye out on this thread as well. I have the same problem and it's driving me insane!!!

When you all say you use mousse or gel... can you tell me which brands you use or does it matter?

I'd be afraid that a gel would make my bangs look stringy/crunchy...no?

And when you add the mousse or gel.. do you apply it just to your bangs or all over the top part of your wet hair?

I'm thinking that if I just apply it to my bangs it would be too much..thus the greasy/stringy look?

My bangs are short, just below my brows. But my problem is getting them to stay in place and no amount of hair spray helps me unless I use a heavy laquer type of spray like Aqua Net :/

If I use a normal mousse and don't apply too much or when the hair is too wet then it doesn't come out greasy. Comes out stringy when the hair is too wet.

i used to have long bangs and i would use these bobby pins that kinda looked like clips from target (goodie brand).

they were awsome for keeping my hair at pay.
