i want to get mine done soo bad and ive been thinking about it for like a yr now. im seriously considering it. but ive heard that it hurts.

thank god im sick right now otherwise it would of been done over the weekend haha. but i wanna get mine done bad!!

I want mine done, but I dont have the nose for it.

Go for it, if you like it, not just cause other people think you should do it. It's your nose, you have to feel the pain, and you have to walk around with it!

ive had mine for years now. i love it. the stud is theway to go! unless you can pul off the ring.

the ring is hard to pull off the lady told me that when i get it done i may notl ike the way it looks at first it is somthing new on my face, and the ring is going to look like it is up high. but it will settle down with your nose. well she was right after i got it done i was like EE! it was up high and i was not used to it but after 2 days i loved it. I have apink stud in now. i am trynig to keep it as clean as i can. kinda hard sometimes. you have to feel motivated to clean it inside and out .. best thing to clean with is salin( contacts) just pure salin not multi.. warm it up helpes with the pain. it did hurt when she did it. SHe told me it would feel like i plucked a nose hair. BS!! It was not that bad i didnt cry but it hurt. I woul dnot advise anyone to get a nose piercing if you have a cold. She told me it will be harder to clean with a cold. though ti would giv eyou some advise she told me.

i had one and never regretted it. i took it out when i'm in the office or when i have colds. then put it on back again at night before going to sleep. this is just to prevent the closing of my nose pierce.

my fd has one and she woke up finding out she inhaled it when she was asleep becoz she had it in her mouth in the morning

got it done by a needle and never had a problem. just a bit of eyewatering and some slight burning after for about a day and that's it. good luck

guns arent allowed in teh US either except for ears...but this may have been many years ago when u did it.

Anyway....I have mine done and i think it looks great with a stud! Less chance to rip out than a ring. Go for a bone or fishtail type, not a screw.

Trust me that is a good thing!!!

Guns are bad, bad bad bad bad bad!! Don't even get your lobes done with one!! Needles are much safer and less painful.

I say go for it!! I love nose studs, I would get one but I promised my mum that I wouldn't get any on the face. She still moans at me about my tongue piercing and I've had it done over 2 years!!

I had mine done and I loved it, it was done with the needle. I had to remove it, because the company I work for now is pretty professional so I took it out before interviews. I have heard that the gun is not a safe method to have your nose peirced, and most likely won't find a place now a days that will do it that way.

It didn't hurt at all when I had it done. A little swelling for a week and it was so cute.

i had mine done a few years ago. it was with a needle. it only hurt for the first 5 sec...was slightly sore for half a day, and then thats it. i never had it get infected. currently i wear a small diamond stud. ........side note,,,,where do you ladies buy your studs from? i'm thinking of changing it up. i've looked and saw that Claires has some...but where else? THANKS!!!

I have one below my bottom lip above my chin I love it ,its so tiny but u can notice it in the sun,., I am getting a light green stone one soon

I have pink and diamond looking ones so far

I used to have my nose done I got bored of it

I'd love one but I promised I wouldn't so tragus is next on my list, probably for my birthday in June.

im really scared about the pain. i want it done so bad but im afraid its gonna hurt too bad. ive read that it doesnt hurt that bad and then ive heard it hurts like hell.

im seriously considering getting it done today. but its the thought of the pain.

I still havent gotten it done hahahaa! i have had 3 consecutive colds UGH!!!!

SalJ go for the tragus mine is done and it looks great...i was finally able to take out the ring and put in a smaller surved barbel with a little diamond ont he end of it.. so nice!!!

(Warning! Really long post!)

I've had my nose pierced for a few years now. In fact I had the same side pierced twice, each time was a little different. Both times it was by a piercer using a needle (not the gun! *shudder*). The first time he used a sort of clamps/forceps on my nose to guide the straight needle through, the second time (a different person) she used a curved needle and did it free hand. So you could encounter either of these types of pros. I have a pretty good tolerance for pain so that has to be taken into account. My first time felt like a pinch, literally, and that was all. The second time hurt like a you-know-what! The first time he used a ring, explaining that the ring helped the piercing heal better because you should play with it and move it around. Helps with the skin not trying to reattach to itself. The second time I got it done with a fishtail screw and hated it. The tail end was so long I felt like it was tickling my brain! Drove me nuts! The first time the ring was sss (surgical stainless steel), the second time was 14k yellow gold. The second piercing got infected and so I went back to them. Never did they tell me to take it out, which duh!, would then allow the hole to close up. Instead they took out the gold screw and put titanium in instead. This worked wonders, I would recommend sss or titanium (which the high polish yellow looks like gold) for the piercing. I felt the warm salt water soaks very helpful too, most piercers will give you a little packet of salt with instructions on how to use it.

Something else too, both piercers told me that I should not consider changing my jewelry, like on a daily basis, for a year. Now these people were from different states so I wonder if this is a basic rule for nose piercing in general. I've also learned other things too. Silver looks great, but after a while it leaves the hole black from the oxidation on the silver, gross! Also because people can have problems with nickel in silver it is not recommended to be left in for long periods of time.

Now I happen to be the type of person that the ring just doesn't look right on, not the reason my first piercing closing, that was because I had surgery and lost the acrylic piece. I also learned quickly that the screws (spiral or fishtail) drove me nuts. My nostrils are such that no matter what way the tail layed, with a screw you could always see the inside part. So I have come to love nose bones. I don't like pins because they are not secure like the bone is with the end part being a little larger.

As for where to find jewelry I like Ebay, Tongue Stud, Steel Navel, Body Candy, and Tribalectic. Good luck!
