I have been told by 3 different piercers to get a little stud and that it would look really good so i am considering it.

cautionary tales (did you wake up the next morning and say OMG WHAT HAVE I DONE)?

hahah im not scared of the pain i have 7 piercings..yah they are all in my ears but that tragus hurt LIKE CRAZY..so did the cartlidge actually..ANYWAYS RAMBLING OVER... can you guys help?! thanksss:policeman:

i'd say go for it! I had mine done and i took it out when i had a bad cold, and I miss it. (I'll probably get it done again) If you get a little stud with a gemstone like thing in it stay away from black and red they tend to make it look like a pimple.

I have had my nose pierced for years and I wear a little stud. I remember vividly getting my piercing which had been an impulse decision after a horrible breakup. It didn't hurt much! I think the tragus would be much more painful. Anyways, I still have my piercing and have studs that I interchange every so often. Right now it is a little pink/silver stud. I had no regrets. Good luck with your decision!

I got mine pierced when i was 13...they used that gun thingie so it went real fast...made my eyes water but thats about it...i never regretted it...if you decide to take it out its only a tiny hole and it can be covered with makeup and most of the time the hole will grow a little smaller anyway....i took mine out when i was 16 i believe...not cause i had problems with it but just because i had grew tired of it. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

guns aren't allowed out here for anywhere but earlobes now. so im stuck with a needle...:S

Oh okay...didnt know that...kinda sucks...lol....cause i think id prefer it with the gun cause its so fast. It's kinda nasty when u hear/feel the cartilage being penetrated though...but it's only for a split second.... :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I had mine done and loved it! I think they are sooo cute :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Mine was just a small diamond stud and was so cute. I took it out for a job interview and couldn't get it back in because of the weird shape so I was going to wait a day to have the shop do it for me and just never did.

Sometimes I think about re-doing it :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> It felt like you popped a pimple basically LOL!

the gun is horrible. It doesnt truly pierce it, just kidna shoves the skin to the side, causing worse scarring usually. That and its impossible to sanitize, and not very accurate. Gotta get mine redone soon, but it didnt really hurt, i mean it did but not bad, and it was semi annoying because it felt like a big ol boogie. But it was still worth it

I had mine done i June as a little mid-life crsis present to my self lol. I am not going to lie....it hurt like a bit@h but only for like 10 seconds. It throbed the whole day and when i woke up the next day I forgot all about it. Of course when i looked i saw something shinny on my nose.lol. Anyway I love it and it's the tiniest little silver stud.

My nose was pierced by some long thick a$$ needle they jammed in my nose.

I'd say go for it, just as long as you don't regret it. I always wanted to get my nose pierced but held back against it since my nose/face isn't shaped right to have a stud. It'll just make my nose/face look bigger. lol, but I already had 9piercings...I think I'm done. Actually it's more like 5 now since I took like 3 off my ear and my naval/belly ring. I kept 4 on my ear, plus my industrial (and boy did that one hurt cuz of the cartilage!!!) and my tongue ring :p /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I got mine pierced like when I was 17 and when I was 23 the thing got infected and slowly started to sink in my nose.So I took it off, But it gave me a brused look on my nose for a year.

I had mine done in September. I would recommend getting a small clear gem to start off with. I don't think it hurt that bad, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The only problem that I've had with mine is taking the jewelry in and out. The screws are really hard to get used it, at least it was for me. I'm really glad I got mine done so I say go for it!

Yea Ive had mine done for sooo many years. They also did it with a gun but now they have to use a needle instead. Im glad I got it done with the gun. I just went to the mall when I was done and got some small nose studs and changed it that night so that I wouldnt poke the earring in the inside of my nose. As for the tragus for me that didnt hurt. I have a high tolerance when it comes to tattoos and piercings but if I get punched Im a little baby. Id say go for it though, it'll look cute. Which side were you thinking about gettin it done on. Mines on the left side.

Ive also pierced my moms and 2 of my friends nose's. They say it didnt hurt when I did it.

i got mine done, they used a needle to pierce it.

my nose was angry and red with me for like a week.

but it didnt bother me otherwise (i got a stud in mine).

then it got infected one day, and i had to take it out.

i miss it, it left a tiny scar but its not noticable. i wanna get it done again.

If you go to a good, experienced piercer, they'll do a needle piercing so fast that the pain will be over in seconds. It's worth going to someone who knows their stuff. Needle piercings are less likely to be problematic, too. They're cleaner and less likely to cause damage to the surrounding tissue.

I'm going to give you some contrary advice now: don't have it pierced with a stud. When the piercing's healing, it's so much easier to keep a ring clean. A stud will have a little hook that goes inside the nose which will collect gunk from the piercing as well as *ahem* nose secretions. A ring doesn't.

Seriously, you're much less likely to have problems with a nice titanium captive bead ring than with a stud. I wear a stud every day but I had a titanium ring in for the first 8 weeks and didn't have any problems at all. I quite liked the way it looked, too, although I feel a stud is less obtrusive for work.

well actually i just got mine done lol! I wanted the stud but she told me she found it easier for the ring. It heals faster Less pain ans it moves with your nose while it is healing. And i only had to have in it for two ta three weeks then i got a screw one. got mine done on the right side

Just because yours was fine doesn't mean it will be fine for anyone. Theres a reason guns for body piercing aren't allowed. You can seriously hurt and ruin your body from infection steming from unclean guns.

Out of all the piercings i had done, my nose hurt the worst..dunno why..but it looks gorgeous after its done

I have no advice, but I'm glad someone besides me also felt like the cartilage hurt! It didn't when they used guns, but once I got it done professionally... OMFG!
