Are my bangs "out?"

so, this is a little silly and insecure, but i was watching the premire of america's next top model last night, and in one of the little breaks where they give you beauty tips, they said that my style of bangs is now "out" and i need to grow them longer and sweep them to the side. i think this would look dumb on me. my hair looks pretty much the same now as in my avatar, just a little shorter in the back. perhaps they were talking about swept bangs on ladies with longer hair? what do you guys think of my bangs?

just realized how tiny the avatars are. here's another pic. the bangs are a bit shorter now than they were when this pic was taken, but you get the idea.

I'd say your bangs are only "out" if they're out to you. If you like the style you've got going now, and it makes you happy then go for it. No need to pledge your life to the beauty secrets of ANTM

I honestly like your bangs. I think it is very few people who can pull off bangs like that but I feel that you pull them off well. Personally, I think it is soo impossible to keep up with all the new styles and trends and whats in and whats not that I have just learned that if I like something no matter if its in style or not I will keep it that way.

I think your bangs look just fine, and if you like them, you should definitely keep them. EVERYBODY seems to have side-swept bangs these days [not that there's anything wrong with that... I happen to like them

], and if you're comfortable with what you've got now, you should just stick with it, and not let some silly tv show beauty "professionals" make you feel insecure about your hair

Trends come and go... but with bangs, honestly ---- you can usually wear them whenever, however. It all depends on your allover style and what you like. I think your bangs are cute, and very 'mod'. There are a lot of new "trends" out now that I personally think look stupid, but bangs are timeless and basic staples in hairstyling that really don't ever go "out" of style.

thanks ladies! my hubby said he likes them, but isn't he legally obligated to tell me i look good?

i like my bangs too, and i don't usually listen to crap like the herbal essences segment on antm, but thought i'd get some honest, unbiased, opinions!

thanks! i think he's a hottie too! he refers to himself as a "calico" like the cat. his hair on his head is brown, his beard is red, and his "other hair" is black. very weird! his brother is a full on red-head and his other brother is dirty blonde. even weirder!

You are fine. Don't ever follow the fashion advice from anybody who claims to be a hair expert on ANTM. They shave these girls, dye funky colors, bleach hair to pieces, install bad weaves.... these will not be the people you take your fashion hints from.

Just keep rocking those bangs for as long as you please. If I had to choose, then I will take your classic style a thousand times over trusting any one of the ANTM *hair stylists* with my tresses.

You always should put your own thoughts/likes before others.

I love the straight cut bangs. It's a classic, and personally I think people are crazy if they think they're "out of trend/what's current".
