:clap Yay! GA users unite! I thought you might like to know about info in a book regarding anti-aging skin care written by a Dr. with 4 (!) doctorates related to the skin and aging from different highly esteemed universities. SHE says in her research she has found that GA is THE workhorse of keeping youthful, radiant, smooth textured, even toned skin. She recommends using a light glycolic acid leave on liquid after cleansing every day to help exfoliate gently daily, either in a glycolic wipe on disposable pad or a watery glycolic fluid that is not oily but not harsh or drying to help your treatments and skin care penetrate and work better and help eliminate dryness and dry patches. She says to let it dry then use your treatment serums and seal it with your moisture. She ALSO recommends doing microdermabrasion 1-2 times wk. in addition to help boost the skin and make the cell turnover and collagen building even better. SO, for all those who are in confusion about glycolics and microderm there is an expert's research and proven clinical results that using them both will help keep your skin younger and in better condition. She talks about other things, especially SPF protection, as well. The name of the book is Ageless Skin: Secrets from Dr. Denese. She runs a clinic for anti-aging and skin care in Manhattan as well, so apparently the women knows her stuff! AND she is gorgeous and uses nothing but her own products that she originally designed for herself because she couldn't find any that gave her the results she wanted or had the ingredients she believed in, in the proper percentages that were needed to work. She tells you how and what to save money on and on what to look for in products. She tells you what works and what causes problems in product ingredients and how to find products that work in your budget. Anyway, I just thought you would appreciate the info! Happy Holidays!:icon_love Chermarie

THANKS for the info about the GA in the ACV but HOW do you do it??? I'd like to try! You are right on track with all the latest. She did say A LOT about peptides and retinol as well and uses those with the GA in her practice and says they are crucial in keeping your skin acting younger. GEEZ, SO MUCH that we have to keep up with in the "race against time"! HAHA! She uses the GA, then a watery like serum with the peptides, retinol and some other stuff like yeast extracts and stuff in it. After that she uses something with lipids that moisturizes. One thing I did learn that I never even thought of was not to use a moisturizer and then put a sunblock on top. She said it dilutes the sunblock and skin protection. So she recommends using a moisture that contains a complete block of no less than 30, that way you get everything in one step without compromising your skin. So, now how DO you add the GA to the ACV?? WOW! we sound so scientific, haha! I just know it was a lot easier when I was 18 and just did the basics and a sunblock! It seems every few years you have to add a new "something" to your routine:unsure: ! My bathroom is small with next to NO cupboard space and I'm getting scared! I am already keeping most of my skin care under the bed in a plastic storage box! :-- Well, the battle calls! Thanks again, Chermarie
