I have a terrible problem here :p /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />.

Every morning when I go to work I have to deal with my hair blowing all over because it is too thin.

Any product recommendation for this, any treatment maybe?

Thx in advance.

You can try any of the following:

Dye or highlight your hair - chemicals swell the hair shafts and thereby thicken them.

Don't use any styling products as they just weigh your hair down and make it look thinner.

Only shampoo hair - do not condition, as it will weight hair down.

Shampoo with a clarifying or volumizing shampoo.

Have hair cut into shorter layers as oppose to being one length.

Avoid Pantene and l'oreal, been there and all they do is create build up on your roots, which means less volume and clarifying shampoo to get rid of it all.

The two shampoos that work for me are L'Oreal Professionnel Volume Expand shampoo (in their Expert line) and Kerastase Bain volumactive.

They both are made to balance oils and add volume. They're also concentrated products so you need less (a 250ml bottle lasts me 2 to 3 months), which is good because they're pricey.

Other tips :

Use a comb to detangle your hair, for the fine tangles i use a small comb with very small spaces in between (the kind used for leech). A brush is great but it's also a volume killer

. i only use it when i know i'm going to wash my hair, and on my lengths while gently holding them in my other hand.

When my hair is wet i use a detangling comb.

I cannot suggest a volumising mousse, all of those i tried created build up and greased my roots.

Instead what you can do is use a hairspray (good old Elnett for me), and apply some at your roots with your hair down, and run your fingers through your hair to distribute it. Only use a little, and it will give an extra volume to your hair. I usually finish by setting everything with a final spray of elnett.

Avoid heat tools, use moderately your conditioner. I only wash my hair when the roots are greasy, every 2 to 3 days, huge progress as i used to wash my hair everyday.

Also avoid twisting your hair, it causes breakage and fine hair is more fragile. I love braiding my hair for work, but now i just use a big clip and it seems to help my lengths.

Finally, getting trims regularly is important, to keep your hair in shape.

i would suggest to get a layered haircut and use volumising hair products - shampoo and musse. i personally like "taft". hope it helps
