Any hairstylists out there?! Color Question!

I recently dyed my hair a dark brown, almost black but not quite. Well I dyed my brown hair extensions black because the dumb lady at the salon said to dye my extensions a little darker. Well the the black is tooo dark and now you can tell I'm wearing extensions but I need to wear them because my hair is WAY too short now, and those b*tches at ulta wont give me a refund (I also had to drive the half an hour drive there twice since the top part of my hair was dyed way lighter than my bottom and they couldn’t cut my bangs the way I wanted them to, so I ended up with horribly ugly bangs that ive been pinning back everyday but that’s a whole different story)! My mom tried dying the black extensions with her dark blonde haircoloring to lighten the extensions a little, and that didn’t help at all, can you please tell me what you think I should do or buy to get my extensions a little bit lighter since they are now just pure black while my hair is ALMOST black but more towards dark brown, im freaking out over here.

I'm not a stylist, but it sounds to me like you either need to get new extensions or wait a bit (depending on how long it's been), and recolor your hair to match the extensions. Goodness knows why they told you to dye the extensions darker... I've always heard to dye them the same color at the same time... Maybe even going slightly lighter since color kinda naturally "fades" within a few days anyway. Again, I'm not a stylist, but that's my opinion on what to do. The only other thing I can think of, is to call another local salon and see about a consultation to see what they recommend. Best of luck!
