I received this tip from Oscar Blandi himself who was none to please with the condition of my hair! It was limp, parched and frizzy. He also told me to get a hair cut. Terrific.
One tip he gave me in addition to buying a bevy of products (which sadly I did because I never know how to say NO to a hot Italian guy!) was to blow dry on cool using a diffuser. He compared it to getting the kind of hair you do from riding in a convertible. Full of irreversible volume. He said at the base of my neck and scalp I should apply a hot-then-cool technique, alternating between the two settings then I should blow dry the top on cool to seal cuticles so my body was a little less frizzy and more shiny.
The verdict: It certainly gives it a different sort of bounce! Try it.
