women that take oral contraceptives are a lot of the times recommended to take a multivitamin. They do not affect birth control. However you should eat at least a small meal and drink a full glass of water to help absorption and keep your liver healthy.
Multivitamins give me bad headaches, so i stay away, get my vitamin d through the sun and the rest through fruits and vegetables.
I don't take any contraceptives, but i take b12 and c and flax seed oil. Not at the same time though i spread them out through the day... the vitamin c basically blocks absorbtion of the b12 if taken at the same time.
