Hi there !

This is my first time on this forum, i decided i needed some other people's opinion on this ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
I spend a lot of time pondering what the best kind of products and care for my skin could be: scrubs, washing gels, cleansing cremes, harsh of mild tonics, what kind of moisturizer....
All of that is usually decided by what skin type you have, and that's my issue, i really don't have a clue. Every time i consult someone they tell me something different: greasy skin, sensitive skin, mixed skin, dry skin... I've heard it all. So i'll describe here how my skin reacts, and let me know what you think !

First of all, i do have a mixed skin. The skin on the T-zone (forehead, nose, chin) of my face has larger, visible pores and tends to be less dry or more greasy than the area's around my eyes and cheekbones.
The products i use regularly are a cleansing 'milk' from nivea to remove my make-up in the evening, then a tonic for mixed kin also from nivea. After that my skin usually feels very tight and uncomfortable, so i use a basic moisturizer. Sometimes i have to use the moisturizer twice because my skin is still too dry.
In the morning after i shower, i usually only use the moisturizer because my skin is very dry and flaky after a shower, even on the T-zone.

Things i have done in the past and caused problems:

I used to remove my make-up with a cleansing gel instead of the cleansing milk, and my skin would feel very dry and irritated after that, so i stopped using the gel and started with the milk, which was slightly better.
Sometimes when my skin would reach a dry 'peak' in the heat of summer or the coldest of winter, i would use no tonics, just a mild cleanser to remove my make-up and moisturizer because my skin would feel really dry and it would get pinkish area's where the skin was the most dry.

So now you're probably all thinking i have a dry or sensitive skin right? Well that's not all...

So like i said, when there where periods when i used only moisturizer and mild cleanser because of the really hot or cold weather. The problem i then had, was that in a matter of 2 days my skin would get far too greasy, especially on the T-zone. I would get blemishes and blackheads or just plain pimples. So then i started using a tonic and cleanser again, which then lead to dry skin again... So in the summer and winter i tend to switch constantly.
There have also been periods where i neglected my skin care, especially in periods i don't use make-up at all. Mostly during finals which here in Belgium lasts about a month. After a period with hardly no make-up or extra care at all, i would get LOTS of blackheads, greasy skin, pimples, you name it...

I'm getting kind of sick of this and i really want to find the right care for my skin. My face shows a lot of little dry spots, pinkish area's and blemishes and i just want a healthy smooth skin.

Any idea's or tips?
