Hi everyone! This question has been really bugging me for a while because I'm not certain that I'm applying everything in the proper order, and just want to double check. I'd like to make sure that I'm getting the most out of the products I use, and want to apply them correctly. I've received quite a few in the past few months from beauty boxes that I'd like to use up, but I'm not sure what order to use creams and serums in!
So, what order should I apply skincare products in: Serums, toner, sunscreen, moisturizers, wrinkle creams, and things of that nature? Is there a proper order?
As far as my current skincare routine (not including makeup), In the morning I typically:
1. Wash my face
2. Toner (Dickinson's Witch Hazel)
3. Use an eye roller to de-puff my eyes
4. Apply sunscreen if I'm going out / or moisturizer if I'm staying in (Sometimes I just use a BB cream and "kill two birds with one stone". When I do that though, I'm not sure if I should apply my primer first? Help!)
5. Apply Primer and then foundation if I need my makeup to last long that day
At night time I typically use:
1. Sonia Kashuk Eye Makeup Remover
2. Makeup wipe to remove everything
3. Wash my face
4. Toner
5. Apply any Serums/ Wrinkle products I'm sampling
6. Eye cream
7. Moisturizer
(Is that the right order? The main thing that throws me off is when I should apply serums and wrinkle creams? Is it before, or after your eye creams and moisturizers?)
Thanks for your help!
