the west!

i'm from california born and raised so they got it right on the nose! i have no accent, it says unless i'm a claifornia surfer!! lol!! its funny because in 1988 i went to new york and met up with a friend who lived in the bronx, she was raised there and when we met (we were pen pals) she said that i talked like the people on general hospital!!! lol!!! i'll never forget that!!! cuz i was like (?) uh...how do they talk? so i guess no accent is also somewhat of an accent to people

from the northeast.

lol!

Here is my result...

Your Result: North Central

North Central" is what professional linguists call the Minnesota accent. If you saw "Fargo" you probably didn't think the characters sounded very out of the ordinary. Outsiders probably mistake you for a Canadian a lot.

lol also at the last part about being mistaken for a Canadian.

I am Canadian

Your Result: The West

Your accent is the lowest common denominator of American speech. Unless you're a SoCal surfer, no one thinks you have an accent. And really, you may not even be from the West at all, you could easily be from Florida or one of those big Southern cities like Dallas or Atlanta.

The Northeast

Your Accent is as Philadelphian as a cheesesteak! If you're not from Philadelphia, than you're from somewhere near like South Jersey, Baltimore or Wilmington. If you've ever journeyed to some far off place where people don't know that Philly has an accent, someone may have thought you talked a little weird even though they didn't have a clue what accent it was they heard.

That is my result. I am not from Philly but from South Jersey. I was born and raised here. For 13 years, my husband and I lived in the Boston area and the people we met DEFINITELY thought we sounded odd. I used to tell them it was they that had the accent.

Thanks for the great quiz!

You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio.
