I felt it was time to break up some of the blonde in my hair. I wanted some low-lights mixed in with the blonde highlights. Not too many lowlights- well my hairdresser friend was having some personal problems and began telling me about them. When I walked out of the shop--my hair is a horrid shade of brown. No blonde highlights whatsoever. My hair is me. It affects my moods and self esteem. I do not want to go back to friend and tell her I hate this stuff on my head--should I chance it and put some highlights over low-lights myself--HELP!! Kookie:kopfkratz:

I know you are right. She is just having trouble at home and we started talking about that and my head is the sacrificial lamb. But look at me- and think of that with dark brown hair!!~ LOL

I would return and tell them you aren't happy with the results.

Maybe take a magazine picture or photo to show how you want it corrected.

Good Luck.

I would tell the truth, even though she is your friends, that is your head she messed up. Just ask her to correct it.

Oh no! I would just go back or call her back and let her know so that you can get scheduled soon. Bless your heart.

Thanx for the advice. I love her and don't want to hurt her feelings. I have probably overthought this anyway. LOL

I'm sure she's made a few mistakes before and shouldn't take it personally. I'm sure every hairdresser makes a mistake every once in awhile. As long as it's said constructively, I doubt there will be a problem.
