I've been on the hunt for the perfect perfume for my wedding day and I'm totally stumped. I've drug poor DF with me EVERYWHERE to sniff perfumes and we're at a loss. He likes several perfumes, but there has only been one that he's thought was "bridal" -- Celine Dion's new Enchanting. The only problem, and I'm not even sure if it really is a problem, is that I don't particularly love it. I mean, it's ok. But the gardenia is very strong for me, and I'm not really fond of it. But that's been the only one that makes him swoon.

Soooooooo..... I have two questions for you.

1) Do I keep hunting for a perfume that we both love?

2) Do I just buy/wear what he loves, because, afterall, perfume really is for the other person, not yourself?

Also, I'll definitely take reccommendations. I am really into florals and fresh smells. Here's a list of what I have currently, just so you know kind of what I like: Burberry Burberry London, Estee Lauder Pleasures, Estee Lauder Pleasures Exotic, Clinique Happy, Celine Dion Belong, J.Lo Glow, Jennifer Lopez Still, Jessica McClintock

And here is a list of perfumes that are on the "No" list for whatever reason (someone else I know wears it, or we've sniffed it and it's a no go): Chanel Allure, Vera Wang original, Ralph Lauren Romance, Amor Amor, Mariage, VW Princess, Elizabeth Arden Provacative Woman, D&G Light Blue, Estee Lauder Beautiful, Beautiful Sheer, Beautiful Love, or Pure White Linen, Lancome Hypnose, With Love by Hilary Duff, Love at First Glow by J.Lo, Coco Mademoiselle, Chanel Chance, Jessica McClintock's new one, CKIn2U, CK Euphoria, Euphoria Bloom, Clinique Happy in Bloom, Burberry Brit, Burberry Tender Touch ... I think that's all...

Please help, girls! I know I'm driving him nuts with my perfume obsession.. :vogel:

me and my fiance love escada magnetism idk if its a bridal smell but we love it and i get a lot of compliments on it

theres alos this gucci one i really like and i think armani code?

I tried and tried to find the perfect perfume for my wedding. I eventually got caught up with other stuff.... and forgot about it. Until the morning of my wedding. Lucky my favourite perfume Vera Wang Princess was in the house i was staying. I wouldnt over think this decision! Just wear one you love.

i couldnt find a department store brand that we both loved. i did however find a little boutique that sold one we both absolutely adored- and yes- you should BOTH love it... you may wear it for the other person, but YOU are the one wearing it!

i bought the entire line- the eau de toilette, the bar soap, the body lotion, the candle... and bought the little roller ball for my tiny purse. it made me feel indrecibly special.

this is a great summery floral scent and whenever i wear it i still get a bt teary eyed.

I was going to reccomend Magnetism, too. I have it and my fiance and I both adore it. It has a very fresh, but still sophisticated scent. I think it would be great for a wedding. I too, get tons of compliments on it.

I wore casmir by chopard over Palmers Cocoa glow (my staple)for my wedding day, we went to our joint bachelor/bachelorette party and it was the first time I wore it and I didn't think it smelled that good but everyone complimented me to the point where I had my girlfirends nuzzling me saying, "you must wear that scent for your wedding." So I did.

one perfume that i wear on all special occations and i wore to prom is jivago. its a bit pricey but i have never met anybody that hasnt liked it. is light and very nice.

I like J'Adore, too. It doesn't really smell "bridal" to me, but it is nice and it lasts all day.

OH MY GOD! This is the best scent I ever smelled!! Okay, so I'm a perfume freak, and when you posted this, I read the description and it sounded sooooo good. The price was fine, but I was hesitant to try it for that price considering I couldn't smell it. I found it for like 30 bucks on ebay, so i got it. Just got it today, and I LOVE it! I totally understand why you adore it... It should be worn on special occassions. I think I might wear it on mother's day. I seriously have to thank you for posting about it. It's amazing!

Maybe try more of the "classics" by Chanel, or by another very well established perfume company. It will be a scent that you will associate with happy memories forever, and you don't want to take the risk of "your" scent becoming discontinued! You may just want to pick up a bottle on your 20th anniversary for sentamental reasons! Think about it--would they EVER discontinue Chanel No. 5? Not in a million years! Stick with the classics!

I'm a big fan of Axis by Sense of Space. Don't know that it's a bridal scent or not, but I have always been really fond of it. Haven't actually found it in a store, only online, which may be a downside. It is very light and floral however, maybe you might like it if you can get a sample somehow.

I also LOVE Pure Poison Elixir by Christian Dior, that one is really great too.

for my wedding I wore b&bw warm vanilla sugar lotion because that's what I wore for our first date and it had sentimental value to us. You should wear whatever you are comfortable with. As long as you're not gagging, and he isn't, then you'll be fine.

for a cheap perfume i would go and buy from the brand SO..!!! it is just gorgeous!! U can buy packs also, with a purfume, and body spray, u can go to target and but it from there!!! I love this stuff!! I also love a perfume from Christian dior u can only get it from high end stores u buy it in a red package, called hypnotic poison

I agree with Mrs Jones, Id wear something that had sentimental value. Whenever I wear a different perfume, I know my bf likes it, but he says that 'it doesnt smell like rosie' - gucci 2 is apparently what rosie smells like, exclusively.

I love that if he smells it on someone else it makes him think of me. If I got married, I'd HAVE to wear something sentimental like that, because even if I smelt gorgeous, he'd feel weird if I didn't smell like 'me' and I'd feel the same!

I really like JL GLO......and one that is along the same lines that I really like is Alfred Sung Forever......it's a soft, clean, fresh scent!!

I also like Hilary Duff's With Love.......again a nice soft romantic scent........go here for a free sample With Love - Hilary Duff Fragrance and Perfume ok forget that just go there for an explanation of the scent ..it tells you to go to a counter to get a sample!!!geez
