Does anyone have any home remedies or deoderants that I can get to help prevent me from sweating so much?? I am just normally sweaty, and its gross. I'll get huge sweat marks under my armpits. Any advice???

I know of a few people who swear by Certain Dri...they say it can be a little irritating at first, but after a couple of uses, your skin gets used to it and it keeps them dry. It's really only useful for excessive sweaters I think.

Yes- try cerain dry it absolutely works. I had a slight problem like yours for a while but I started using certain dry and it totally helped. I don't need it anymore, but I always have a bottle around incase I need it! You might need to ask for it because some pharmacies keep it behind the counter. You'll feel a lot better,:icon_chee trust me!

Where would I be able to get Certain Dry? Would shoppers drugmart have it? What about Walmart or Zellers?? I live in Ontario Canada by the way.

I also live in Ontario. I have a friend who is really sweaty as well, and since she doesn't have a computer she always wants me to help her out (we are really good friends). What stores you can get "Certain Dry" at??

A very good question. I have severe hot flashes and struggle with perspiration a lot. Especially in the summer. You're not the only one horse luver! :icon_redf

some natural ways you can go is by using cornstarch or baking soda. mix either baking soda or corn starch with water to make a paste and apply a little under your pits it is a very good way to keep you dry.

The only place I've found Certain Dry in Canada is at London Drugs. If you got to the states, you can find it pretty much aywhere. Hope that helps!

I suffer from hyperhidrosis which is the clinical term for excessive sweating. I tried Certain Dri which is over the counter and it worked okay. The best thing that worked for me is Drysol, in the U.S you need a prescription for it. It can be purchased online without a prescription through a canadian pharmacy.

If regular antiperspirants aren't working for you, maybe you have hyperhidrosis? To get something stronger, you'll need to see a doctor. When you do, there are a few options: 1) A prescription for a heavy duty antiperspirant, but sometimes those irritate skin and you have to continuously apply it. 2) They have surgery for this and it's permanent, but sometimes this just causes people to sweat more in other places since their body still needs regulate itself through sweating. 3) Botox is often used in the hands and armpits for this condition, and has it's own possible side effects, but it works by blocking the nerve cells that cause sweating. It lasts around 3-6 months. Here's some more info on Botox for hyperhidrosis.

Good luck. Hope that helps.

I have a similar problem except underarms aren't where I sweat, it's my FACE! My upper lip sweats so much it looks like my nose is running! In the right environment (a crowded mall for example) it's possible for me to sweat ALL of my makeup off in a matter of minutes. If anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this I'd love to hear them!!

P.S. I have tried the Proface No-Sweat facial antiperspirant...my body freakin' ADAPTED to it, and it is not effective anymore...dammit...
