Unbeatable flaking around eyes

Hi there, Sooo... I had a horrible flair-up of eye allergies a few weeks back complete with red, puffy eyes. Unfortunately, the eye drops I had to use to treat it is causing flaky dry patches of skin on my eyelids, browbone area, and undereye. I moisturize with an eye cream multiple times a day... I have also been off the med for over a week. Any suggestions of how to get rid of this? I have tried gently exfoliating with a wash cloth and it just irritates the area and comes back in a few hours. It looks awful and i havent been able to wear eye makeup for weeks!! Any suggestions of what to do? (Also have sagging and bags in eye area now i never did from all the stretching from swelling that hasnt gone back even with firming cream... Any ideas on thatt would also be a huge help!!!)

Honestly, I'd go talk to your eye doctor about this. If you believe that the allergy eye drops caused this to happen, this is something you should speak with a medical professional about. In the meantime, have you considered taking an oral allergy medication to relieve your allergy symptoms in general?

It's nothing to worry about, it's a common side effect that has been discussed with my doctor. It just dries out the skin. I do also take oral meds. Moreso just concerned with the look of the dry skin abd bags, the health problem has been mediated as best it can without insurance unfortunately /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Dry, flaky skin around your eyes can be quite bothersome. If your skin has not cleared up from simple treatments, contact your doctor, as you may have an underlying condition that requires different or additional treatment. Your eyes are important, and the surrounding skin area is delicate. Be sure to talk with your doctor for the best solution for you.Good Luck !
