I am sorry to say that, but this is nonsense from a medical and biological standpoint...

I always thought that what you eat does have a major influence on the condition of your body and skin. What you eat certainly reflects on your overal health, that is 100% true. But the nonsense part is how they try to make an association of skin conditions and organ function....Like pimples on your forehead, pimples on your cheeks, dark circles... That is one of the most nonsense things I have ever read (pardon me girls...).This kind of literature attracts the medical illiterate population because it just sounds so fascinating.... So the magazine sells big... But there is no biological truth in that. Just wanted to warn you girls before you get a pimple on your cheek and go see a pulmonologist (lung doctor) because you are convinced that you have some airway problem because of this article... You know what I mean?

There are so many medical/ health myths in our culture.... When I see them, I burst them. LOL.

Please don't take this personal... Of course, everyone is entitled their own opinion. No doubts about that. But it is difficult for me, knowing how much I know about human biology, physiology and pathology, to believe this. I enjoying educating my patients and friends about their own bodies and, when I read something like this, I feel obliged to at least alert you. Whether or not you believe me, than it is totally up to you.

Hi,
Samantha, many thanks for taking the time to translate and post the article. Do you know if the article is based on Chinese Medicine practices?

Thais, thanks for your post above. Having your views from a medical standpoint is greatly appreciated. I promise if I see a pimple on my cheek, I won't go running into my boss's office (he's the director of emergency medicine).
