Awwww, how cute! You've got that naturally wavy growth. I just took out my braids a few weeks ago and I wore it natural for a little while. I suggest John Frieda's Ripple Effect. It's a spray from his relaxed-line of products and it works really well. It says to spray it on and scrunch the hair but that's too much work for me. I just moisterize my hair, platt it and spray it on. Then the next morning when I take out the platts, it's nice and wavy. Great alternative when you don't feel like using heat on your hair.

Once I combed out the hair and washed it is just a fro now

I have been wearing a drawstring ponytail while I'm waiting to get hair relaxed

Thanks for the info, I might try that.

I know EXACTLY what you mean! I wish I could keep that after-braid look for a little while without having to wash it out. The style after the wash is what really requires some work. And drawstring ponytails are one of the greatest inventions for that in between time! Let me know if you end up trying Ripple Effect :)

hey! that looks just like my everyday style! i love that look on you! if you think about wearing it this way again, check out the john freida products. they make some really good products that work well on natural hair! if your hair coils when it's wet, could probably get that style anytime you want!
