Someone might of already said this but, when I was trying to go my hair I used Prenatal Vitamins. It grew an inch in a little less than a month.

im trying to grow my hair out too

its very discouraging for me because i feel like it NEVER grows!

i even stopped dying it frequently like i used to, no perms or chemical processes.

it is a lot more healthy looking, but it still doesnt grow like it used to in high school!!!

i did try prenatals, biotin, the kardashian vitamins, even all natural vitamins from sprouts. honestly i can tell much difference.

when your hair gets at that i can't stand it i am going to cut it mark try some new hairdos. if you let your hair hang straight use a curling iron and make curls. if your hair is naturally curly instead of the same old hair do blow dry to flip it under, or up, or out to the sides. you have to be inventive. my hair is down to my behind. i have spent most of my life with long hair but i did get a pixie cut, a bob, i permed, i ponytailed, braided, and clipped up. when it gets to that frustrating stage you just have to figure out a do for you at that length. DON'T CUT. work with what you have. in no time you will wonder how it got that long. just need patience and imagination!!! i am 60 my hair is healthy.

it's my firm belief that healthy skin & hair is best maintained by a healthy diet

putting stuff ON your hair helps, but putting the right things IN your body is your #1 priority

ok so i just straightened my hair for the first time in a month or so, and wow! i can definitely tell that it has grown about an inch, so maybe those vitamins DO work!

get some BIOTIN

I'm agree that the most important tip to grow hair faster is the diet and the supplements. Eat good proteins, omega fatty acids, vitamins, minerals.

And apply almond oil on the scalp for an hour at least once weekly.

Hate to disagree, but cleaning your hair more often can be worse.

Cleaning your hair a lot strips some of the natural oils from your hair that are needed to provide protein and whatnot that helps keep your hair moisturized and healthy. The healthier the hair, the easier it is to grow.

Brush it carefully. If you have wavy or curly hair, there are probably times when you encounter resistance as you're brushing. Right before brushing, use your fingers to gently comb through your hair. And when you brush, start at the ends, and hold the strand that you're brushing with your other hand so that if you pull on the hair with a brush, you don't pull on the root (you pull from the grip of your hand instead).

I had hair down to my chest last september and then decided on a whim to get it all chopped off into a bob. Im still dealing with the mistake. It is growing out but it'll be a good 6 months/year before my hair is as long as it was.

Ive found that in the growing out process the best thing to do is play around. Tie it up in a bun, ponytail, wear it straight, wear it curly, get a fringe and most importantly get some layers. If your hair is all one length and your doing nothing with it then you will get bored and want to cut it. So play around!

Also as most people have said keep it well conditioned etc. I like to use a special conditioning mask once a week. It makes it all lovely and shiny!
