Time for a change

The past few years ive been battling awful hair, I went though a "goth" stage and dyed it black. (before that it was pink, red, dark brown) Well I got it stripped, and it's been dead ever since. My hair has never been very healthy, but this was just horrible. It was pretty long, down my back, but half of it was just fried. Well ive been slowing trimming it off but it's not making enough progress at all. So tonight I decided ive had enough, I cut it myself alittle above the shoulders, and it feels so much better. I only cut it myself because I plan to get it evened out and styled anyways, and I just wanted to do it myself. Spur of the moment thing.

I've always been fond of carrie's many hair styles from sex and the city, and this one in particular is one im going to get mine styled like. plus I have naturally curly hair, that I go over with a curling iron, and can easily acheive these curls i think.

i also love marilyn monroe's hairstyle..looks similiar to carrie's, and her fabulous color.

im not coloring it yet because I feel it's still too damaged, but when I do I plan to get a blondish put in! my natural color has always been blonde, so im not worried about it looking fake. but it darkened over the years, this still isnt my natural color..it's a bit lighter than this. plus my eyebrows are so light blonde that i have to color them with a brown.

I hope this works out, my hair is really thick..im not sure ill get it cut THAT short but maybe a little longer. Wish me luck!

well theres no going back to it! im not fond of short hair, but i have to deal with it until it can grow and be healthy again. better make the most of it. thanks guys!

That's a really cute style, I think it would suit you nicely. Are you going to just have the style done, or the colour done as well?

i would love to get the color done also but i feel my hair is still too damaged for that. some day i will, if the style comes out okay and i like it.

me too ugh. makes me miss sex and the city. a big reason i watched it was to see what she would be wearing/how her hair would look each day. i loved her style!
