Thoughts/Help on my cut pleeeease? :)

Current hair air-dried (please excuse how horrid I look in all these pix...it seems pix where my face looks ok are never hte pix where my hair looks ok /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />)

In the back it's almost up to bra-strap length.

But...I must go a few inches (at least) shorter b/c of damage.

I came across these cuts and they are just SO cute!

BUT..

2 questions:

1) these are SO SHORT!!! Like, 5-6 inches shorter than my current...which is a big deal for me. lol. should I try them anyway? I'm not good w/ big changes /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

2) Would these require heat styling to look ok (based on how my hair air dries, in above pix)? Because if so, I can't get htem, I only take out my flat iron very occasionally these days (NO time whatsoever, and don't want further damage)

How about leaving your length as it is and having bangs cut like in the example photos? Then, if you feel comfortable, you could slowly take off some of your length.

You may want to blow dry with a round brush, perhaps only your bangs. But you could most likely air-dry without too much of a problem.

I think the short ones look good. They would totally suit you if you felt comfortable enough about cutting off that much length. But then again, I knew this girl who had hair to her knees, and it was like, it wasn't in good condition and it wasn't attractive, but she didn't want to cut it because she would have to wait like 10 years for it to grow that long again. You don't want to have long hair just because it takes ages to grow!

Anyway, I think your hair looks gorgeous how it is, and I also think it would look good like those pics.

Well, don't take this the wrong way, but your hair seems a little long for your face - like it's pulling it down and making it look longer. I have the same problem. I love the first style. I don't think it would air dry just like that, but a round brush should help you out - I have had my hair cut like that many times.

your hair is gorgeous - you could go for a similar style but slightly longer with some layers - break yourself in gently!

Umm your hair dries perfect! Let's see, well, you can leave the length and get some choppy angles and sweep away bangs! that could be fun for you!

I like the first one, and I think it'll look great. You could start out with the longer of the two cuts, and then if you want it shorter, go back.

I gave a picture of Nicole Richie and her hair was just like that and I told the lady I wanted exactly that - and it turned out NOTHING like it. So just make sure that when you drink in pics you tell them you want exactly that!!!!

i think the first one would suit you. you can still ask your hairdresser to cut just a bit if you're afraid of cutting too much on one time.

if you have long hair it's best to cut bit by bit instead of walking in the salon with long hair and walking out with short. that way if the cut doesn't please you, you can still do a ponytail.

I think the first one would look great on you. I wouldn't think you would have to use a flat iron perhaps just a round brush as said before. I would get it cut like that....maybe you could just leave it a little longer.

I have much longer hair than yours, but after looking at those styles, I don't mind going shorter. They'll grow back anyway /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

1) Your hair looks naturally beautiful just by letting it air dry - you are lucky!

2) I think the recommendation to just do some bangs and a trim in the back to begin with is a smart and conservative approach.
