My hair at the moment is a white/platinum blonde. I'm starting to get sick of it and wanted to go a bit more natural/medium blonde for the fall/winter.

its possible to dye it a darker blonde with box colour right?! lmao. reading over my question it sounds DUMB.

Yes you can dye it darker easily...how long ago was it that you went blonde?

The best dye I can suggest is Loreal Feria

i went blonde a bit more then a year ago. i wasn't sure if the blonde hair dyes were just different strengths of peroxide or how the heck they worked so i wasn't sure if you could go a darker blonde! but thanks for the suggestion!

make sure you look for something that says ashy.

a neutral color would work too, but since you have had white blonde hair you would proboably feel like even the "natrual" blonde was to brasy for you.

ashy will have either blue or purple undertones

Be VERY careful about ashy tones, especially if you have platinum (close to white) hair. Boxed hair color doesn't tell you what the undertone is (ash could be green, blue or violet based) and these undertones will often turn platinum hair greenish or a weird khaki color.
Also when your hair is bleached it will absorb color more quickly so chose a shade one level LIGHTER than you want to avoid it coming out too dark.

If you have a Sally's near you you could try a darker blond toner as well. This would be my first recommendation as they are meant to be used over bleached hair, and an ash toner should give you an ash result without turning your hair greenish.

it wil also leak the color faster... you will most likely have to dye it twice to get the color you want once like she said an inbetween shad and once a shade you actually want. and coloring it twice should take care of any green tones because those show up from the fast washout of only one dying over hair with very little melanin in it

My hair was that color before and i went way darker and now they blonde is starting to peep through! It's so annoying!

hmmm all i can recommend is go to a hair place....like ummmm...well i couldnt really say as i dont know wat u guys have there...but u can actually go and buy the hair colors that the studio uses but cheaper!!!

if u have like a store that sells cheap things like....here in australia we have priceline and price attack, as they are hair and makeup, and beauty stores....and they sell salon quality colors and mixers seperatly... my sister used to do my hair.

But i would suggest a maybe light brown maybe cause ur hair is platinum so it will come out a darker blonde...but u do have to be careful as someone else mentioned u have no idea wat undertones they use
