So I was reading Aquilah's thread on her brows thinking about my bushy brows up there and wondering how many of you out there prefer to keep the thick brow you have naturally and how many wax/tweeze it all away? Do most of you that have thin brows have pretty thin ones naturally?

I clean my stragglers up a bit but for the most part I keep them full. I do this b/c of many reasons...I have thick hair lending itself to my brow area and therefore it would take me ages of pain and tears to get a thin brown, my skin doesn't take to waxing so there's no way I'm tweezing all that away and then not to mention the maintenance it must take for a person to keep them that perfect. I've heard so many older women tell me never to thin them out b/c eventually they quit growing back and then come 50 years old you are havigng to draw them in...I don't relish that idea...

So what are everyone's thoughts.....do you thin browed girls look at bushy brows and laugh at us for being "out of style" - what do thick browed girls think of the thin brows???

Well, I'm too impatient to let mine get thicker... Although, I might cave in eventually and allow for that to happen. I have naturally THICK, BUSHY brows... Make that, UNIBROW! If I ever get off my duff, I'll take a pic of the pic I have of my thicker brows from years ago (scanner isn't compatible with this PC)... Maybe eventually I'll get them back there too LOL!

Wow - so how hard was it/how long did it take for you to get them thin like that...you look like from your pics you have good skin coloring...I'm so white I can't imagine what it would look like for me to have thin brows lol - like two empty canvas' up there ha ha ha

Wether it's thin or thick, I vote for natural. I hate the look of a harsh fake line in this era. It looks great in photos from other eras though.

As thin as they were when I first joined, took a bit of overplucking LOL! Not too hard to do! My mom originally started plucking for me when I was in HS, and once I moved out, I took over the task... Let's just say, I should've made the weekly visit at 17 to keep getting it done LOL! Alas, it has taken me since about May to get them to where they are now. I'm still trying to work up the nerve to let them grow in more LOL!

My brows are usually very thick. So, I keep them plucked not too thin, but not too thick either.

I prefer thicker over thinner. I think it looks better on most people. I just don't like the hook eyebrows that some girls can get after overplucking. Thicker brows make you look younger too, but this isn't a problem for me yet.

I went through phase overplucking my eyebrows to death back in high school (grr!!!) and they won't grow back anymore :scared:

I love that thinker, natural brows are in, it just looks so much prettier. I never had a problem with overplucking (Ive seen what happens when you do *shudders*) so I leave that as motivation so as not to lol. If anything I have a problem with plucking the wrong shape lol.

I prefer thicker as well. To me, if they are too thin, they give some women a surprised look. I usually just have them waxed occasionally and then tweeze any stray ones that grow in.

I have very thin hair, so really I should draw them in a bit, but that's just another thing to add to my routine!

I prefer brows on the thicker side. Brows that are too thick overwhelm the face but brows that are too thin don't frame it well and don't give you that strong, striking look. I also prefer brows that are the same shade or slightly darker than one's hair color and ones that are longer. I don't like short brows.

For a clean look, nothing beats threading. I wish I knew how to thread. :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

see i prefer thinner over thicker on me.. cause im half asian and my hairs grow weird, and to better control the shape thinner works better.. so i think thicker or thinner can look good it just depends on the person and how there brow hair is..

My brow are neat but comparatively quite full. I feel like anything thinner would just look wrong with my features. Besides, they are the frame to my eyes.

Totally agree!

I tend to keep mine on the thin side just because they are naturally thin so I don't have much option. I envy girls that have a nice thick, full yet neatly groomed brow!

My eyebrows are what I would consider thick (naturally), I've plucked them and shaped them thinner, but they're not too thin. I still think they have a good amount of "thickness" to them.
