They're taking advantage of me!

i use a particular moisturizer on my hair that totally works great. i've bought about every bottle from all of the beauty supply stores in my area, so now i have to get it online. i found a couple of sites that sold it for $4 a bottle so, of course, i stocked up! i purchase between 10 and 15 bottles at a time. well, it's time to restock and when i visited the sites they raised the price to $6 per bottle on both sites. i so don't want to buy it from either of them, since i'm pretty sure i'm the only customer buying it! i even tried to contact the manufacturer, but no luck so far. i've tried many other moisturizers and none of them work as well. i guess i'll have to break down and buy it from one of them, but i've got to say that i'm not happy about it at all! rant over.

Monnie, you are doing everthing the right way to get your product. The only thought I came up was asking a beauty store or salon to order it for you - it might turn out to be cheaper if you tell them you want several bottles.

I'm the same as you - if I like a product, I'll use it for years.

A lot of stores will go to the extra trouble of getting a product for you if they know you'll be loyal to their store instead of purchasing online. Good luck getting your product.

carolyn, i've tried this as well! i've even offered to pay in advance if the store owner would order a case for me. they say they will, but when you go back no one seems to know what you're talking about. very frustrating! i've noticed that they carry fewer and fewer products from this line my local stores, so that tells me they aren't restocking. not a good sign at all.

These websites that you are going to should offer a quantity discount. You should email them about that.

well, i contacted the retailer and asked if the price shouldn't go down rather than up for volume purchases. i'll let you know what happens!

you may be right, aprill. i just heard from the retailer and they did send me a discount code for my next purchase, which probably won't be until august or september. he did mention about the product availability affecting the price, so point well taken.
