Has anyone on the board ever had Thermage. It is a procedure that heats up the collagen in your face and stimulates a tightening of the skin. If you have had it, what was the result?

I haven't h ad it personally, but a friend of mine did. It was a short procedure, said it didn't hurt at all and lasted about three months. She had it done for the sagging skin under her chin. Looked great.

I regularly read the plastic surgery forum on Yes They're Fake.net and there have been many discussions about Thermage. After what I've read, I would stay far away from it. A lot of women who had the Thermage procedure lost a large amount of fat from their faces. That's the last thing you want to happen. We lose fat naturally from our faces as we age. We don't want to do anything that speeds that process along. Many doctors are aware that patients are at high risk for very bad results after Thermage, but they keep doing it. They have expensive Thermage equipement they need to pay for.

My older sister had Thermage done and the results weren't dramatic but were noticeable. She was very pleased with it and said that while it was uncomfortable on certain areas of her face, she'd pick it over the dentist any day of the week!

I've seen the horror stories by some women on the internet. Frankly, I think they're nuts. The only verifiable complaint about Thermage is that it can be expensive and doesn't always yield results.

Yeah, I've heard of it. Sounds really interesting. Haven't tried it yet though. Apparently it uses radiofrequency energy to tighten skin by boosting collagen production. Here's some more info on Thermage if you want to read more about it. Explains it better than I can.

You can also find a spa that does galvanic. I did it on a client that had deep wrinkles, she bought a package and at the end of the package I could see a big difference in her skin. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
