The year 2007 in your life

My daughter was married in June.

I retired-maybe not a good move.

Worked my way through one hell of a depression.

Gave my house the most thorough cleaning of it's life.

And am entering 2008 praying to God it will be a better year.

it was quite challenging and stressful this year but it's almost over! hopefully 2008 will be a better year.

- my bf moved in with me and my family

- my dad's 65th birthday

- I got laser eye surgery

- my bf got his wisdom teeth out

- my bf got hit by a car

- my bf got surgery related to the car accident

- really difficult semesters at uni because of all the background going's on

- lost weight, put on weight

- bought more stuff online

- went to egypt and thailand

- made a major purchase with my bf - nintendo wii

that's all I can think of right now. Who knows what 2008 will bring!

In 2007 I...

started a new position at my job and got a pretty big raise

moved to a new apartment with my fiance and reduced my commute to work from over an hour to just 30 minutes; it doesn't sound like a big deal but I used to HATE driving that much, so its made me SO happy being closer to work.

Got my nose re-pierced

Went to my dads wedding in Maine and got to meet a lot of his family for the first time.

Found out my sister was pregnant!

Grew closer to my family.

Made a few close friends

started going to the gym more regularly

learned to dance

became more comfortable with myself

decided on a new career of becoming a pediatric nurse which I'm going to pursue by starting school in 2008. Overall it was an awesome year.

Just another crap year.

Lets see....

Unemployed for almost 2 consecutive years.

I work a temp job for 3 months sweeping floors for less than half I used to make.

I've about spent my entire savings and home downpayment to pay bills.

Oh yeah, then there was surgery, yeah more fun bills.

I've had several job interviews and so far it's

we can't afford you,

your over qualified,

your not specialized enough

your too specialized,

and my personal favorite.......

We're looking for a minority or female for this position.

All the good things to come from years of experience hard work and college education.

Yeah, this year has been a real blast.

I also feel like telling the world to $* ( I'll let you fill in the blank ) I swear, I'm about to just walk away from everything. Where I go I'll have no idea, but it's gotta be better than this town.

Hope you all had a happy year cause mine blew.

wow, so many accomplishments! congratulations to everyone.

well, i'd like to remember only the good parts of the year and here they are:

- i was able to join a lot of bazaars this year, coz the year before that i have no idea how to join one (we sell women's clothes)

- i was able to start with my own sewing shop, that way i get to see the clothes i designed on an everyday basis

- i got to style for a jeans fashion show this year and i got interviewed on local tv

there. oh and i learned a lot about being a parent this year...i mean, it's tough but i'm proud to learn something new each day.

- Saw my favorite bands all in concert at the same time

- Met some really crappy guys; ditched some really crappy guys

- Dealt with health issues and finally came out from the all still alive and kickin

Though I have to be monitored for a while

- Met my heart and soul

- Became a senior in college

- Got addicted to MMU like...woah

- Found this place and made it my home online!

- Got re-addicted to gaming

- Went from dark brown hair to red hair to blonde hair (a BIG thing, since before I'd never touched my hair!)

Well.... 2007 was quite interesting for me; full of challenges and life lessons

- I got employed, worked my a$$ off; got promoted twice, my paycheck doubled; and now have a wonderful job which I love and enjoy

- I went to Ireland for 3 weeks and spent 1 week in Dublin all by myself - learned about independence and stopped being scared of travelling alone and spending time alone in general

- I ended up single after being in a relationship for 8 years.....and survived

- I met a lot of interesting people, some of which became my dear friends

- I bought A LOT of things but also saved quite some money

Plus a lot of minor and major self-discoveries and decisions....

2007 was a horrible year for me.

I got a dream job that included a giant raise and working with friends.

I got laid off from said dream job due to office politics. Turns out the guy I was working under blamed ME for not finishing his projects claiming I wasn't doing anything regardless of me pestering everyone in the office for more work.

Decided to leave LA with the boyfriend. Traveled.

Spent a few long months in Boise, ID where I watched a friendship of 10 years spiral downhill. Friendship eventually cut off as she decided to kick us out regardless of us TELLING her we'd be moving soon. LOTS of petty passive aggression and claiming I'm horribly toxic, I'm ruining my life and I've ruined the "beautiful soul" I once was. Said the 400 pound compulsive eater.

Got one freelance job where the client refused to pay me the $900 for the gig. Got another freelance job where it was cut off after they said they wouldn't pay me more than $200 per project.

Spent a few months in beautiful Colorado Springs with family. Was ok, still unemployed. My father died about 3 years ago but seeing his quirks in my uncles HURT.

Visited MA to meet the boyfriends family. MOVED to MA about 2 weeks later.

Moved in with parental unit. Abusive father announced he's moving back in soon. Worried about kitties well being. Currently it's the scramble to get any old job so we can move to Providence, RI. Lowest point of my career.

Considering going back to school to get my Masters in Graphic Design.

Dealt with countless panic attacks and nervous breakdowns DUE to unemployment.

Gained about 25 pounds due to unemployment and year long bout of depression. I don't do well not working.

Plans to get to NY (I'm in the fashion industry) scrapped as funds ran out.

Watched relationship with mother get worse and worse the further across the country I got.

Developed a bleeding ulcer but can't do anything about it as I'm broke and lack insurance.

If 2008 is even as bad as 2007, I think I'm offing myself.
