thanks!

i have a friend that uses honey masks too and her skin is great

Honey is really great natural skincare product, but...

It is better to be carefull and do patch test before useing honey on skin for very first time. Some people are alergic to honey.

I also recalled 2 other ways to use honey:

1) Gently brush your lips with toothbrush and apply thin layer of honey. After 30 min. just lick honey off your lips. Your lips will become softer and more kissable.

2) Beauty drink. Night before add 1 spoon of honey to glass of water. Next day add lemon juice from 1/2 of lemon and drink everyhing first thing in the morning. It will speed up your metabolism and help your body to get rid of toxins.

I use active manuka honey with a unique manuka factor (UMF) of 20+ - this is supposedly what gives honey its strong antibacterial properties.

Regular honey is supposed to breakdown into enzymes and helps to dissolve dead skin. The medicinal variety slowly breaks down into hydrogen peroxide (but at a very very low concentration) and can help with acne related problems.

When I can bare it, I sleep with a light layer of honey on the face, my skin is very soft the next morning.

If you can find the brand "Comvita" that is quite reputable. Although I now buy mine locally from a bee keeper at much less inflated prices for the same quality. When I started the manuka honey thread in another forum, most users couldn't find a high UMF product, I eventually had to CP a bottle of UMF 20 to a member in Canada.

Aw, that's such a nice gesture you did

I required a new bottle so i had to grab this and run...LOL My understanding was that "any honey" works the same topically.
