My aunt was telling me about a texturizer. She got one one when she went to the salon to get her hair done. But its not the usual texturizer that make your hair super curly/wavy. This kind of texturizer is kind of like a chemical relaxer except it doesn't permanantly straighten the hair. Its supposed to be really good for hair like mine. I have natural curly hair. And i just want something that will tame frizz and provide protection from humidity. The texturizer is supposed to do that , so that i only have to use little or no products at all.

OKAY!!!!!!..........with all that said here are my questions:

1. Has anyone besides my aunt heard of this ?

2. Who makes them?

3. Where can they be bought ?

4. Do they come in different strengths?

5. Will it do anything to the pattern of the curl of my hair

HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:screams: :icon_scratch: :scream3: ALL ANSWERS ARE ACCEPTED

1. Has anyone besides my aunt heard of this ?

Yes, I have. Your aunt is right, the active ingredient in it is the same as the ones in chemical relaxers, texturizers usually just process slower.2. Who makes them?

Many companies make them, but some that pop off the top of my head are Motions Texturizers, Soft N' Beautiful, and Silk Elements

3. Where can they be bought ?

To ensure a good product and good quality, Sally's or any reputable beauty supply store should have them

4. Do they come in different strengths?

Yes. Mild, regular, and super. You pick the strength based on your current hair. Fine or color treated should use mild, medium hair should use regular, and coarse or thick virgin hair should use super.

5. Will it do anything to the pattern of the curl of my hair?

Yes, it will loosen the curl pattern slightly so it will be more manageable.
