I always wear sunscreen spf 25 throughout the summer since I'm Very Fair skinned and have mild redness on my cheeks and nose. Since its turned really cold I havent really bothered with it I've just kept to mineral makeup but my redness is getting a bit bad again, should I still wear sunscreen on my face in the winter?

Thanks :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> xxxxxxx

I think dermatologists recommend an SPF of at least 15 throughout the winter--and, if you are very light skinned(I am too) it should probably even be as high as 30(esp. if you are outdoors often.)It does feel weird though putting on sunscreen when there is hardly any visible sun out!But I TRY to remember to do it every day.

All I've read has advised to always wear sunscreen (at least SPF 15) throughout the year, since UV rays are still present on overcast days. So I always do! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I wear sunscreen all year round, because I'm so pale I get burnt really easily.

i have worn sunscreen everyday for so long that it has just become a habit. once you get in the habit of it, you feel weird not wearing it when you go out! aveeno has some suncreen moisturizers if you think you'll be more inclined to use it that way. but doesn't most mineral makeup have an spf of 15 anyways? all i know is if you mix the two, the spf is scewed up and doesn't work as well. so you have to be careful.

yes, of course, even when it's cloudy. Huge part of UV rays goes through the clouds. I like to use heavier sunscreens on winter, it seems they protect against cold too, since they are more greasy.

yeah, I wear it year long. I wear spf 55 during the summer and spf 15 during the summer when I don't see the sun...but still reach for my spf 55 if I see the sun...lol.

Definitely continue wearing sunscreen! While I don't wear it daily (I know, bad, bad!), my foundation and powder both have SPF. It's recommended to be worn daily from everything I've ever read!
