I never re-apply because well, I forget, and also because it completely messes up my makeup. :kopfkratz: Sometimes I think it's useless to apply sunscreen if I don't re-apply since it's only effective for a couple of hours or so.

How many of you who apply sunscreen before heading out actually re-apply after 2-3 hrs?

i forget most of the time :eusa_whistle:

if i don't wear mu, i reapply before going out. i use my sunscreen as a base, so if i'm wearing foundation, i skip it.

If I'm going to be outside for most of the day I definitely re-apply because my super-pale skin will burn otherwise! Usually one application mid-day is good enough, though on my Hawaiian honeymoon I still got a little sunburned with twice daily applications, I guess since the sun is more direct at those lattitudes. If I'm outside all day and I'm not going to be getting wet (like at the beach or pool -- obviously I don't wear mu there), I just wear some basic eye mu and a light dusting of powder or mineral foundation which I can easily reapply after reapplying the sunscreen.

However, for a normal day, I don't even wear sunscreen (though my foundation has a little bit of SPF) .... I'm in my office all day long, and only go outside for a few minutes a day walking to and from my car, and walking to the company cafeteria for lunch -- I'm probably only outside for 10-15 minutes a day! And since you need 10-15 minutes of sunlight WITHOUT sunscreen a day so your body can produce vitamin D, I figure I don't need sunscreen! (Plus, vitamin D is very important to prevent osteoporisis, which I already have several risk factors for!)

Right now I dont wear sunscreen, my moisturizer has like spf 15, but im hardly outside since im in school and i work inside til it gets dark. In the summer, when Im outside I try to reapply, Im usually pretty good about it, I hate sun damage.

Most of my outside time is consolidated, so I don't have to worry about being outside throughout the day. For that reason, I don't reapply, but if I knew that I'd be outside for longer stretches of time, then I would.

I was thinking it might be easier to re-apply with a spray sunscreen so as not to mess up my MU, but I'm afraid it might not provide adequate protection.

I only reapply if I am at the beach which is very infrequent and I am not wearing MU there anyway

Normally I wear underneath makeup and my foundation has SPF in it also

I wear sunscreen daily (spf 15).. but I never reapply it only when its really sunny and I'm outside all day (like the beach or something) x

I don't reapply. I wear a mineral based sunscreen under foundation that also has sunscreen. I set the foundation with powder.

This is the problem that I am having with liquid foundation. I use loose powder that doesn't have any SPF. I find this SOOO not easy too re-apply during the day.

So I use powder foundation or compact, after using oil blotch paper.

most of powder foundation have SPF, and its matt to use around summer time

I don't.... i yet have to find a pressed powder that has a good spf in it. as it is, i already have a diff. time finding a pressed powder.

I apply an SPF of 50 in the a.m. under makeup, then reapply about 5 hours later. (Or more often, if I'm out more.) I hate it, b/c it does mess up my makeup a little, but my father has had skin cancer for years and I don't want to,too, so I try to be careful in the sun.

I think a spray on sunscreen sounds like a good idea!--you'd just probably have to be extra careful that you managed to cover all the skin.Sounds like it wouldn't mess up makeup as much, either--I might give it a try!Good idea, beautynista! (I think Neutrogena makes one.)

I don't reapply when I just stay indoor but if I am out in the sun for a long time, I will reapply every 2 hours.

my beauty consultant toled me dt after 3/4 hours our sun screen stops working so have to re-apply if am staying outside for a long time

I only reapply when am at home and not wearing any makeup. If I have makeup on, I don't reapply and just try not to be exposed on direct sunlight.
