I agree with Liz. It's just the newness that freaked you out probably. Good luck with whatever you decide to do!

i'm curious, were the extentions glued or sewed in?

i've had mine glued in a couple of times and it's terrible for your hair.. i highly doubt i'll ever do it again. the glue can really damage and break off your hair.

if anything, get them sewed in :icon_chee

as for right now, you'd be way better off just giving your hair a break.. but, if you must have the extensions back.. stay away from the glue!! lol

You should post a pic of your hair without them in... maybe we can give you more info on alternatives if we saw how it was... :icon_wink Although I'm sure your head feels a lot lighter without them! lol ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

hi,just saw this, well i've never had extensions, but i know that if you have your hair in a tight pony tail or anything it tends to break and fall out. if i were you i would really be gentle to my hair for awhile(deep condition, use a pick or wide tooth comb when it's wet).i wouldn't do anything to pull or cause more damage.if you can't stand it, maybe check out wigs or hair pieces and wear in a loose ponytail.well good luck.it might take a couple of yrs. for your hair to be back completely.

Hi greeneyedangel

I had hair extentions about 6 months ago. When they were done they looked awesome and I really did think that they would help my hair grow!

How wrong I was. Because id been brushing the hair extensions and yanking my own hair underneath, my own hair suffered.

When I had them out I had to have at least 3 or 4 inches cut off and I ended up with much less hair than Id origianally started with.

Now, 5 or 6 months on, my hair has started to recover

I also felt that I had a rats tail, but think that also this was because id gotten used to the extensions.

Keep up the intensive conditioners

THEY WILL WORK

:)

Thanks guys for the advice!

Did you have yours sewn in or glued in? My are sewn in, but my freind had her ext removed after having hers applied with glue and she had bald spots remaining :icon_eek:

Mine were waxed/glued in individually. Cost £700 and they were really good quality

but still dont make any difference. the hair underneath suffers

I loved the look but would NEVER ever have them done again

Cheers

Lorraine

Allie. I`m sorry about your hair and just want to say that i hope that everything is gonna be ok soon. :icon_love

You also have to remember that a lot of your hair that falls out naturally will get stuck in the tracts (it has already fell out) and it just looks like you are losing a TON of hair.

So it might not be as bad as you think
