I have heard Dr. Denese's name mentioned on MUT and checked her out on the Internet. She is a medical doctor that has capitalized on giving beauty advice.
If I was going to have a baby, I would use an OB/GYN because they have successfully completed their residency and are experts on pre-natal health and delivery.
If I am having problems with cystic acne, I want a doctor that completed a residency program dealing with skin, and is now competant to diagnose and treat skin problems.
I don't want a doctor with a PH D in Neuro Psychology, who advocates lotions and facials and diet, to cure acne. Just like I don't want a Cardiologist handling my pregnancy.
There is acne and then there is chronic cystic acne.
Over the counter medications have no affect on my skin.
I find it pathetic that a doctor advocates lotions, facials and diet as a cure.
I find it sad that so many believe that the good doctor is speaking the truth.
And I get angry that others with chronic cystic acne, just like me, are told that lotions, facials and diet will solve our problems, when what we really need is a Dermatologist
who knows how to diagnose and treat accordingly because their residency was all about the health of skin.
I am surprised the Dermatologist wanted to increase your dosage of Retin A.
Are you refering to Stievaa Vitamin A Acid gel/ceam when you say Retin A?
I have been using Vitamin A acid gel for years - maybe 15. You have to apply it every other day for at least a month, to get use to it. And never apply it right after you wash your face. It is a good medication if you start off on a low dosage and gradually increase the dosage.
