hi everyone!this is not an advert nor am i here to condemn any products, just thought i'd share a miraculous advice i got from my beautician..finally got rid of my small bumps (when squeezed, they come out like 'silly strings' or toothpaste).

I'm from Malaysia where the weather is hot and humid. I was using Dermalogica and some Origins prior to meeting this new beautician. Have been using those products for nearly 4 years till now.

3 weeks ago, i decided to change my usual facialist/beautician, because the beautician in Dermalogica kept popping my pimples and squeezing my bumps, producing loads of scars and marks on my face (UGLY!). Besides, only a few days after a facial, the small bumps which were reduced earlier have finally emerged bigger!

Anyway, i did 2 facials in 2 weeks at this new place which uses Decleor and Darphin exclusively. The one i had was Aromaplastie facial (both times). The beautician mentioned that due to improper cleansing, loads of gunks are stuck beneath my skin, resulting in those bumps-without-heads. I'm a stage-performer, so i use heavy makeup every single night.

The most important step is cleansing, no matter what products u use, and here are the steps (based on the products I use/have, u can substitute with your own preferred brand):

1) Dermalogica Precleanse Cleansing Oil- with dry hands and face, massage into skin using fingers like u would do when you're shampooing your hair. Splash water and massage till it turns into milky emulsion. Rinse thoroughly, then wipe off with tissue/cotton pad.

2)Decleor Cleansing Milk-with dry hands, massage into skin (as above) then wipe with tissue/cotton pad.

3)Decleor Brightening Foaming Cleanser- mix with water in your hands, then massage into face, concentrating on areas of problems. Rinse thoroughly with water.

4) Face Towel- wet the towel and gently rub your face (gentle exfoliation). This should be done each time, cause gentle exfoliation everyday is way better than harsh scrubbing 2-3 times a week.

5) Face Towel- wring the towel, so it's damp and not wet and massage face again.

DONE!!I do this every night before i go to sleep. In the morning, I start with step 2.

I know this seems time-consuming, but i noticed after only 5 days, all the bumps are gone! Now it's only the matter of getting rid of the scars:rockwoot:

HTH!Sorry, the explanation is LONG...and my English is rusty....:tocktock:

i would totally try theyre stuff (i see it in like nordstroms, sephora, etc..) cause it seems really nice, but its just so expensive for me to bring myself to pay the money for it.

those are great!! i use the cliniques 3 step system now wich i love but it doenst do anything for those bumps (i have loads on my forehead) do you think i could just use a cleansing oil and a milk before? and then just use the 3 step system wich is a cleansing foam, tonic and a moisturizing fluid

Great tips thanks! Do you find rubbing with the towel takes the skin off the scars/scabs? Like I have really fragile skin and when it's wet the skin just comes right off if I rub it lol and not in a good way, like it bleeds! So I guess with the towel rubbing I would just have to be extra gentle?

Makes sense though (using the towel) because that way you're physically taking dirt etc off not just chemically/with product.

hi everyone. Sorry for the late reply. I've been away, and i didn't have my laptop with me :scared:

Retro-violet-

u can use your own products, no problem, it doesn't have to be Decleor. Some ppl like to use cleansing oil, and some like using wipes to take off their makeup, but i strongly recommend the cleansing milk step .. Good luck!

semantje-

Of course!!just add cleansing oil (wipes, or anything that REALLY removes the makeup from your face), then use cleansing milk to make sure you've thoroughly removed everything. After the whole cleansing routine, u can use your Clinique 3-step-system..no problem..cause we use different range for different types of skin:laughing:

I had sensitive skin before this (thanks to Decleor). Now it's more balanced. But u only have to rub gently using the face towel. As u said yourself, everyday gentle massaging helps better to dislodge the dirt on your face, and make way for new skin to emerge. I do a scrub once in 4-5 days, and i find that i don't need to scrub as hard as before (BAD, BAD BAD..i know). Then i follow with a mask..HTH!

:rockwoot: I agree!!!

Hi MissG! Thanks for this tip! I tried the process for the past week every other day, but using just a Cetaphil cleanser for steps 1,2,3 coz that's the only cleanser I've got on hand here... i think it actually works. It seems to have stopped my skin from breaking out from makeup, since massaging with a washcloth seems to really rid my face of all the gunk at the end of the day. It does feel smoother too :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Would love to try the Decleor Brightening Foaming Cleanser, but I dunno where to find it here in Manila.

great to hear that it works on you!!! :rotfl:

it does make your skin smoother, doesn't it?just that it's a bit time consuming..

anyway, i have no idea how to get Decleor in the Philippines, even in Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), only 2 exclusive salons that actually sell the products..but honestly, it doesn't matter what brand u use (Clinique, Lancome or anything else), as long as it SUITS your skin..

maybe u can get a cleansing milk or a foaming cleanser from another brand that u trust besides Cetaphil..

plus getting moisturisers, toner etc from Cetaphil itself, since it has worked great for you..

what i'm trying to say here is, it doesn't have to be Decleor, as long as u try and do it with a cleansing milk and a proper cleanser (e.g your Cetaphil)

hope i'm not confusing you...

p/s:u can buy Decleor online if u really really wanna try the brand...

do you use the same cloth each time and wash it regularly? because its a germ trap otherwise... just to let everyone know who is going to try the towel method.

of course, that goes without saying..u wouldn't want those icky bumps to come back, would u??:frown:

just bumping this thread so those who have the same problem can read it..cheers!

I've done something quite similar religiously for months... and it really works! Its just a matter of getting as much out of your cleansing routine as possible. You can't be lazy, because the quality of the cleanse is just as important as the products!
