too many products are out there.. i don't even know what to believe now..

should i use toner in the morning? just moisturizer? or anti-aging cream in the morning?

I'm lost.. for real.. :scared:

so What's your daily routin? and what kind of product do you use everyday?

Personally this is my skin care routine -

Cleanser - Wexler Acne Foaming Cleanser... Not sure of its name right now lol

Toner (only when I feel that I need it... not every morning) - Witch Hazel

Moisturizer (only when I feel that I need it, and only on my cheeks cause I have combination skin) - Murad (the stuff that comes with the Acne Complex kit)

Sunscreen - DDF Photo Matte SPF 30

you shouldn't be overwhelmed. just let your skin tell you what it needs. i currently have an am and pm regime.

am~

aveeno clear complexion cleanser

sundari neem & avocado mositurizer

pm~

aveeno clear complexion cleanser

stridex pads for sensitive skin

sundari neem & avocado moisturizer

twice a week~

mama lotion

queen helene mint julep mask

derma e microdermabrasion scrub

microdelivery mini peel pads

what's your current regime?

The best thing to start out on is a Cleanser and Moisturiser/Sunscreen! x

Thanks girs!!

also.. i heard Witch Hazel is pretty good, where can I buy it?

hi everyone. i've heard so much about everyone mentioning mama lotion. WHAT is this? it must be something really good if its mentioned soooo much!

i use the 3 step system from proactiv morning and night, then i also use dr. patricia wexlers acnostat overnight repair lotion..

AM:

Cleanser: The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Cleanser

Oil of Olay Thermal Skin Polisher

Toner: The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Refresher

Moisturizer: The Body Shop Mattifying Moisture Gel or Oil of Olay moisturizer with SPF 15

PM:

Cleanser: Origins Mint Wash

Moisturizer: Oil of Olay with SPF 15

then i use the Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque every other day

Do you have oily skin? Dry skin? How old are you? Do you have acne?

You have to realize that what may work for someone does not neccessarily work for you.

Here's an article that will help you start. Then ask yourself the above questions and search the forums. There are lots of articles and helpful tips for all skin types.

Cleanser - Biore anti-blackhead warming cleansers

Moisturizer AM - DDF photo matte sunscreen spf 30

Serum PM - Juice Beauty Antioxidant serum

Moisturizer PM - Murad Essential-C Night cream

Eye cream - Hylexin

I'm going to change it up a little bit soon. I can focus on anti-aging now that my teenage skin has gone away. You should use what your skin type dictates. Fortunately, so many products do multiple things, so you don't have to choose between acne, dry skin, anti-aging, etc. Is your skin oily, combination, dry? Are you concerned more with preventative or restorative anti-aging? Oh, and if there's a particular brand you like, go to their website and they'll usually select the right products for you.

my skin type is combination (i think the skin changes in different age,)but i get oily skin in the summer and get lil dry in the winter..

and recently i got my first facial treatment.. but got really bad bad allegic reaction... all my face is swellen red and itchy and bumpy,..(it feels like i have sand all over my face...) its really horrible.. a woman who really cares about her skin, like me,NEVER want to go through this EVER AGIAN..

what should i do? i tried HQ Mint Mask last nite..and lil better.. :scared: :bawling:

First you need to find a good cleanser. Click here for all topics on cleansers.

Then you absolutely need a sunscreen/moisturizer with SPF! Click here.

And here for dry skin tips.

Lots of reading, I know....

But it's worth it!

I bought Witch Hazel products before from Boots, don't know if they have it outside the UK though?

You could try ebay!

i would go very gentle until your skin recovers. something like a cetaphil cleanser and moisturizer until the itching and swelling normalizes. maybe benadryl might help with the allergy symptoms. sorry that happened! what products did the esthetician use on you?

i don't know what she used on my face.. i think she did some microderma...but not sure.. anyway.. I've been using HQ Mint for 2 nites and use vaselin cuz i dont want to use any skin care products that contain all sort of chemicals..the redness is gone.. itching stopped.. I want this symptoms go away ASAP!

Thank you girls!!

I share in your confusion, it seems there is so much out there to try and waste money on.
